what am i doing wrong, when i put my trucks into high gear the truck just comes to a halt.

Downloaded 3 days ago and now I’m hooked. Even on easy I had to learn a lot. My parents were owner operators when I was a growing up so I knew some basics about cargo loading and weight and different trucks and tires, but this game is awesome even on easy. Great video and, once I complete for more on easy, I look forward to hard mode.

I put a fuel tank on mine and turned it into a heavy exploration scout of sort. Easily clear most of any region with it

Honestly, to anyone whose understanding of this game extends beyond "muh Tayga", calling the Azov 64131 the best truck shouldn't be that hot of a take. It's efficient, stable, versatile, and capable; there isn't a single map where it isn't useful. My personal favorite is the TwinSteer, but that factors in enjoyment instead of strict utility.

Definitely wouldn't call this a "Complete Beginner's Guide..." as it mistakenly assumes everyone who's watching already knows what you're doing. You blazed through the first "mission" of building the bridge, then showed up at the first garage, and never even explained what you were doing or how you got there. Keep in mind, if you're doing a "Complete Beginner's Guide for Beginners" then you should dumb it down for those of us who really are "beginners". Knowing what the game is about is secondary to knowing how to get started. I applaud your effort but this really was a disappointment; did me absolutely no good at all.

I got the zikz years ago using both the KRS Bandit, and the Western Star twinsteer. Definitely a fitting challenge for the best truck in the game.

8:48 Hmm this way of calculating point is a bit misleading. All of them have a roof rack yes, but Lo4F's roof rack is just way way more fuel, making it more suitable for longer range scouting when compare to the other two.

I don't think I agree by going map by map but rather treat the whole region as a single playfield. I did this mistake with Michigan to do the first map completely and then moved to the next map and sometimes it's just easier to pick resources on the next map on far convenient or even closer spot than drive to remote and hard areas of current map. Also sometimes there is a fuel station or garage in next region that makes some places better reachable from there than from your initial garage. So my tip is always scout the region as a whole and then prioritize missions to unlock support facilities/fix roads or map connections. You will have greater options of planning your routes when you also count with other maps in the region.

You didn't need to repair or refuel the fleetstar just change trucks and recover to garage.

I respect the no diff lock truck except the Western star NF because it's too big and unwieldy with the 2 dead axles

ok ok ok i get it the rwd no diff lock trucks can hold their own, but... whyyy??? i watched you drag an oil rig halfway across alaska. it took you an hour just to get through the detour and you fell over twice. dont get me wrong, i am a champion of these little underdogs, but... why? they have their place in the game. bro... that was not it! 🤣

just go in the files and change the awd and diff to default and diff always

I made at least 12 videos using the 4070a Transtar I made the videos as a foot in my own mouth because my friend loves those highway trucks happy to say after making my videos I’m more impressed with it

- Great video Dec, 👍 i myself enjoy using non offroad trucks since it adds some CHALENGE to the driving. while watching this i thought it might be nice if we could have option to ChangeUP the ALLWAYS on difflocks+AWD on the trucks that have them for Switchable in Garage, - since i find most of the time that the worsend turning radius is mutch bigger CON then what the allways on difflock especially if said truck also has it combined with allways-on AWD brings in the offroad conditions... (not to forget increased fuel usage from AWD) + i bet IRL none of these trucks have the allways on Difflock in like we have in Snowrunner, since they wouldnt be drivable in ussual conditions on road ect...

Just wondering how you have all the trucks parked outside your garage. I've only got one play through and it's hard mode but hemorrhaging money when I have to transport my trucks from map to map. Only on my 2nd map ATM but about to go to my third? Am I missing a trick?

I love using the transtar in alaska and in canada. Its just more paved road and its less muddy

I use them all and drive every truck in this game as long as I get some pleasure by doing so, but I have zero reasons to use a worse tool for a job that requires a fine tool. So it's not that they are useless, but there is no other point to keep using them on difficult tasks unless if you are looking to challenge yourself.

I think that every truck should at least get lockers, ive never seen any truck (pickup or big ass semis) that didnt either come factory with them or have aftermarket ones available

Now that is playing in hardcore mode, no just some set rules on a NG+

I was stubborn and did not bring the little fuel trailer because I thought. I don't need it I will make it and just recover. Upon reaching location after a near tough trip. I found out I had to do it all over again and bring the fuel trailer that time 😂

In Snowrunner predecessors (Mudrunner and Spintires) original (non mod) maps had many roads which were mostly mud pits, but there were also small forest roads without much mud. This gave chance to all offroad incapable trucks to be optimal for work.

The highway truck on smithville dam is really good on that map, nimble for the hill curves and quite quick

The WS57x is another monster of a truck even when it was just RWD. I was actually a little concerned when the devs gave in an added AWD to it, since it might have messed with the driving dynamics of that truck (I'm yet to try it out since the addition).

They're not useless but definitely limited in the base game. However, they do fine on mod maps like Highway Haulin The Region, and Highway Haulin 2 the Region
