    I'm an artist who has gotten to waking up very early and it's given me so much time. My natural wake up time is between 4 AM and 5 AM but I wake up at 3 AM nowadays. And it's true that one needs to go to bed at a time ideal for them to get their optimal sleep. My sleep time is by 8:30 PM but on Friday and Saturday I might stay up until 8:45 PM. One thing I'd like to add, setting it across the room might not be enough as it's like getting up to go to the bathroom, you zombie-walk out of bed, hit snooze, go back to bed, I did that when I woke up at 2 AM for two weeks, I found that putting it both across the room and hiding it behind something and not committing to memory where it is, so you'll be jolted awake. You know what's funny, I have an old school alarm clock like that, my grandmother's alarm clock she gave me, guess the old fashioned clocks were the best. Maybe I should actually use it? It's an antique from the 50s.

    • @Ishaqsculpt
      @Ishaqsculpt 14 днів тому

      @@GraniteStateVictoria I like the hiding part haha, mine sits between the monitors and i have to walk around my table to get it. And yes ! These old clocks are the best !! They are super loud and much more effective than the alarm sound of our mobile devices + you can shut your mobile off at night which also allows you to focus on your work more without risking over stimulation :D This was an interesting read, thanks for sharing !

      His experiences do resonate a lot with me. I'd say I took sculpting seriously 3 years ago, but was also making cute characters. This was a sneaky trap. In that, I did like cute characters and they were getting positive feedback but before I made cute characters I had so many different ideas for the style I actually wanted to make. It's nice to know that where I am now is part of a common journey 😅 (I'm now doing stylized to semi-realistic characters and I'm getting more satisfaction from it) So thank you Ishaq (your advice anf tips are worth their weight in gold my friend 😁)

    I agree with you, and let's be honest, no matter what we do in life, knowing how to be disciplined, how to organize ourselves, how not to spread ourselves too thin is indispensable. Everyone's free to do what they want, of course, and to procrastinate and so on... BUT! Every action has a consequence, so don't expect "miraculous" results. It's really important to have a healthy lifestyle (at least from my point of view). Know how to set limits for yourself, do or consume things in moderation, take care of yourself, and discipline your mind. It's not enough to want things, you have to do them. and set yourself goals. Otherwise excellent video honestly, you give good advice, and my favorite part is certainly when you show the old mechanical alarm clock from the 40s :P

    • @Shizuma450
      @Shizuma450 17 днів тому

      For realistic characters, Zbrush is really incomparable in this respect, I think, But for Semi-realistic / stylized, Blender really comes up trumps! The software is already evolving incredibly, and you can even get brushe like "Zbrush Orb Stylized Brushes pack for Blender 3D". (this is just one of many examples, but I think it's an interesting point) And of course, Blender is free... I think that's an argument that could have some weight. I'm also on Zbrush, but having done a bit of blender, I've found many, many similarities, and as Niko would say "It's the sculptor's skill that's important, not the software" even if I think the software can be important depending on your objectives!
