Have you had the weird piece completely out of the frame yet? I wonder if she could have done two of the same sampler and framed them together, like you sometimes see with art work. Either that or there was an issue with glue or backing paper being acidy. Strange that the colors would be that different. Glad you are back.

I enjoyed seeing your autumn stitching. I like floral stitching.

On your antique sampler where it appears cream on back, I think the glue used on it interacted with the Foss color to take the color out on the back making it cream. It could have done this only on certain colors depending on the dye they used on those floss.

You have been doing a lot of Autumn stitching and you antiques have floral motifs. Beautiful!

Have you thought about using a stand with your Q Snap? You could try two handed stitching. I don’t like stitching in hand either - for the same reason, but I’ve never heard anyone express it out loud. It’s so good to see you back! I’m glad that all is well.
