Hi! I have some questions about this. I am doing a similar project where I have to make wooden railing and its a 3d sketch with spline. My issue is the profile is not bending correctly. Can you help me out in that? I can also show you if you wanna connect
First you can create a simple vertical railing then after you type "Flex " command and give twisting in different angle so you will geat better result......
@ sorry i should have mentioned, so I got the sketch from a 3d scan, and i need to convert it into manufacturable parts. So I have the sketch, its made up of splines and normal lines and i need to sweep such that it doesnt deform as it goes up, sadly I haven’t found success yet.

How do you determine the length of each arm. There is more to it than the length of the stroke of the slider. It torque a factor?
The length determined as per the pre calculation or as per the R&D
Its just a slider mechanism it will not working or generate torque
@CADCAMTUTORIALBYHB the prime mover attached to first arm will generate rotational torque. The amount generated will be determined by the length of that arm. That torque will be transferred to the second arm that is attached to the slider. The slider will have friction, and in real world applications will likely be pushing something. Now, we have the weight of that something added to the friction of the slider. You must overcome this combined friction to have movement. Now, you will be faced with choosing the proper sized motor to move your first arm. The motor will provide the torque you need. How much you need will depend on the friction you must overcome and the length of that first arm. So, how do you determine the length of each segment? If it meant nothing, you could just randomly choose two sections that combined would give the necessary linear stroke of the slider.

Yes, torque is a factor in determining the length of each arm: Muscle torque: The force applied to joints to move the arm. The path the hand will follow determines the muscle torque. Moment arm: The longer the moment arm, the greater the torque. To measure the length of an arm, you can use a measuring tape or ruler to measure from the base of the neck, down the shoulder, and along the arm. The length of the arm depends on what you're measuring it for: Clothing: Stop the measuring tape at the wrist. Sports like boxing: Measure down to the end of the middle finger.
