Thank you for the video. I wish you had shown how to get them from under the hen that is what I’m worried about.
She is so sweet, tucking her babies up under her. 🥰
I'm so excited! I've got my first broody hen, Bertie. ❤ She's sitting on a nest. Thanks for this. I'll candle them in about a week.
Yay! I love seeing a new video from you pop up. Everything looks wonderful! What progress!
Do we add water or is that until the last days? And is it suppose to turn on its own?
Add water to port A until it’s half full for the entirety of the incubation period. You fill port B only during lockdown. Hope this helps! The instructions should have all the info you need!
I just subscribed to your channel. It is fantastic. Your philosophy on heritage breeds ...you are right on. My grandmother had the Orpington, Sussex, Barred Rock, and Wyandotte. Great birds especially if children will be helping to take care of them.. Looks like Townline have nice healthy chicks. Keep the videos coming. You guys have a great place there. Keep up the great job!
Can we put geese eggs with the same times
Thanks for your question! I don’t think it’s appropriate to mix different types of eggs as they all have their own humidity, temperature and incubation lengths. I’m unsure what the requirements for Geese are but I definitely recommend looking that up to ensure you have the most success possible! Best wishes!
great informative video
Hello I’m trying to get the days long to incubate but I can’t get the count down to go longer then 21 days
Hi there! We are currently incubating another batch of chicken eggs so I can’t currently mess with the settings but I’ve set an alarm for myself in about 3 weeks to do some tests, I will try my best to get back to you! Otherwise perhaps the instructions are online somewhere? I have misplaced my set. I’ll see what I can find.

Can't believe I missed this video! You're so smart lady!
I loved this little tour! Your setting looks so peaceful ❤ a visit must happen someday!
Yum! :) thanks for the peek into your life ♥️
Does it aromatic turn the eggs ? How many eggs does it have room for . I'm thinking about guinea eggs , they come up to 30 ( combined hens ) .
I believe there is room for 22 regular sized chicken eggs, you can get a different grate for quail eggs and obviously fit quite a bit more because they are smaller. I’m not sure how Guinea eggs compare to chicken eggs in size but If they’re similar then I’d say you should have no problem fitting 22 in the grate. Yes there is an automatic turner!
@@thefulfilledlife9083 Thank you for the information .
I saw one youtuber stacked some on top.
@@learnjcbskidsterchickensga7594 Ive never heard of that! Did it work?
@@thefulfilledlife9083 they said yes. I just saw one of two channels… One piled in middle…have to rotate 3-4 x a day (when candling some may be found infertile) Another placed an egg carton and took tray out…rotated 4x a day. Pointed side down, of course.
Excellent video. Can you use the incubator as a brooder?
Hi there! While you may leave the newly hatched chicks in the incubator for a day or so as the rest of the eggs hatch…. It is not suitable long term for a brooder. There’s not really enough room for bedding, food, water etc.
Hi! Thank you so much for the info
Just found your channel today … you did really great on your hatching vids as well as this one. Your peppers could use blood & bone meal (or fish emulsion ) and some worm castings if ya have it 💚Mims
Thanks for the tips and encouragement! Always room for learning. I’ll definitely look into bone meal. 🥰
@@thefulfilledlife9083 any time! The bone meal has phosphorus which helps with blooms which is where the fruit is (I know you know that lol… someone skimming the comments might not though!) 💚Mims

Hi there, I LOVE your space. I can't wait to see what becomes of it. have you read the book "Men are like waffles, women are like spaghetti"? Your comment reminded me of it. Happy gardening!
Thanks so much! I have hope in my heart for the potential! Starting a garden from the ground up is no small task. I have not, I’ll have to look into it! Sounds right along the lines of what my friend said 😂
"You know- whatever" that is 100% the right attitude. Just move forward. Lambs quarter- alkaline good catch!
Thanks for the encouragement! 🥰
How do you keep the humidity below 55 everyday til lock day? Thanks
Only fill port A from day 1 until lockdown. During lockdown you fill both port A and port B. You can adjust the humidity with the little gray vent on the front of the lid.
Awesome! How often did you have to keep adding water to the ports?
That’s a great question I’m actually not 100% sure… I never kept track I just filled it when the humidity dipped below ideal readings. I figured a broody hen would get up and eat once a day anyway so if it dipped slightly it wouldn’t be to detrimental. Next time we will have to keep track! I believe the instructions say port A should be half full so you could eyeball that as well.
I recently purchased this incubator. It is not my first. I also have a Kebonix and a Hovabator. I loaded up 44 quail eggs. I had 2 hatch. Yes only 2. After the two were removed I added a thermometer/hygrometer just to see if my temperature was correct. It seemed to be 2-3 degrees low. But still reading 99.5. Any suggestions? Should I incubate with it set at 101? Not sure what my best course of action should be. Advice welcome.
Hi there! I’ve never hatched quail eggs so I’m not sure how sensitive they are to discrepancies in the heat and humidity. We had a batch that didn’t hatch because I failed to let it run and regulate for 3-4 hours in the spot it would have incubated eggs, before putting the eggs in. That was a hard lesson to learn. 😔 Things like drafty areas in the house, placing it to close to the floor (heat rises) or direct sunlight can affect correct or consistent readings as well. Did you open the un-hatched eggs to see if there was any development and maybe discern exactly where things went wrong? We’ve had some not hatch because they simply weren’t fertile. Of course 2 out of 44 seems way outside the proper margin of error. You definitely could run it a tad warm to balance out the faulty readings but I can imagine you’d like a dependable i incubator as well. Maybe reaching out to the manufacturer would help? I’m sorry for your losses!
@@thefulfilledlife9083 Thank you. So many factors to consider. I’m going to call today.
Such a good edit Tina! Adorable! I love it :)
Thanks Liss, I appreciate the unwavering support!
did you have trouble with humidity ? going up and down ! not staying steady !
A couple things could cause that. One would be location of your incubator. It’s not recommended to put them on the floor, in direct sunlight or in drafty or cold rooms. Another thing could be not letting it run/regulate itself for 2-3 hours before putting another batch of eggs in. We had a failed batch because I forgot to let it regulate for a couple hours. Hard lesson learned. I also purchased a separate thermpro hygrometer from Amazon for around $5 to act as backup for next time.
Thanks for sharing this with us. I really appreciate it. :D
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
How do you lower the humidity? Mine is at 59.
Hi Shannon! I would open the air vent completely, the humidity should adjust itself within an hour or two. You can partially close it again once it’s within the appropriate range. If it continues to exceed 55% you could take a syringe and suck some of the extra water out. Port A should only be about half full. Hope this helps!

We've had a wild year with lots of big changes! Coincidentally I just started working on the second video this week! I'm hoping to have it up asap. Thanks for watching!
Would it work with turkey eggs?
Hi Hailee! My mom used my incubator to hatch some turkey eggs and it worked! Since the eggs are a little larger you might not be able to fit as many in the egg grid. You could try every-other space like they recommend for the duck eggs, and run the turner manually by pressing the + and - buttons at the same time to make sure they all turn properly before you start incubating. You could also put an X on one side to make sure they are all turning throughout the incubating process. Also do a little research on the humidity percentage and incubation length of turkey eggs… I’m not sure what they are but it might be a little different than chicken which is what the factory settings default to. I hope this helps! Feel free to reach out if you have more questions!
I just one of those the other day I’m excited to try it
We started some eggs again this year and are so excited for more fuzzies to hatch!
