The Pathway is a access point to the world of work in Nebraska. It was created with two key goal in mind - to help the youth of our state successfully navigate Nebraska's labor market and to give insight to job seekers on opportunities and careers available to them.
The Pathway helps people find jobs, explore career options and discover what skills they need to take on certain careers. We also help employers fill jobs. One of the biggest problems facing employers today is that there are not enough qualified/skilled workers to fill the positions open at their businesses. We aim to educate those seeking employment to hopefully find the right talent and grow their businesses.
We have targeted this resource to be a service to parents, teachers, students, career and employment counsellors, human resources professionals, and staffing agencies.

On this tour we go though the entire process of designing, producing, assembling and shipping a winch. The family atmosphere and the great work benefits make for an awesome work atmosphere. Hastings is home to Kool-Aid, Smith Softball Complex and Hastings College, but I bet you didn't know that one of the premiere polyethylene pipe making companies in the world is here also. Centennial Plastics makes custom plastic piping for companies all over the world. In this tour Anthony gets to see how it's made, how they test the pipes and how they are delivered to the customers.

The medical field is one of the fastest growing industries. Anthony gets a first hand look inside the amazing opportunities available in the Perkins Pavilion at Hastings Good Samaritan Village. We help residents and provide them services through CNA/Med Tech support, cooking meals in the kitchen, upkeep with the housekeeping staff and we talk to a nurse about the importance of caring for others.

For this tour I not only got to see a number of different job opportunities when working with AGP, but I was also able to go to 4 of their locations and check out the awesome places a career here can take you. I worked on cleaning and unloading trucks, testing soybean oil out of a semi truck and even got to work on machines. This place has a lot of opportunities and it was a great trip!
