In the Lucky Rabbit bookstore at The Rabbit hOle, there is a giant burrow scene from the book The Runaway Bunny, which leads into the great green room for Goodnight Moon. Both books were written by Margaret Wise Brown and illustrated by Clement Hurd. Watch as Rabbit hOle artist and fabricator Kelli Harrod paints the final illustration from the book to finish our exhibit for The Runaway Bunny.

What would you do to be able to fly? In My Father's Dragon, written by Ruth Stiles Gannett and illustrated by Ruth Chrisman Gannett, a little boy named Elmer Elevator runs away to Wild Island, outwits different animals, and rescues a baby dragon. To create The Rabbit hOle's architectural exhibit for My Father's Dragon, our team of designers and fabricators also faced an unknown territory and in...
A (somewhat accurate) Tour of The Rabbit hOle & Musical Performance with Daniel Handler
Переглядів 1 тис.2 роки тому
In early December 2021, we were honored to host Daniel Handler, who is often mistaken for Lemony Snicket. While he was here we filmed a somewhat accurate of The Rabbit hOle. Though the information he shared may be questionable and a year later The Rabbit hOle looks much different, his musical performance in the second half of the video holds up nicely.

Work-in-Progress: Frog and Toad
Переглядів 3452 роки тому
Amphibians may not have scales, but our Frog and Toad exhibit has a full range of them! Designed to alter your perspective from that of a human to that of Frog and Toad, the scale of your surroundings changes throughout the space. At one point you might peer in Toad's small house, but in just a few steps find yourself dwarfed by daisies and other riverbank flora.

How Many Caps Can Jordan Stack?
Переглядів 2392 роки тому
It's a tall order to make all 16 caps for our exhibit honoring Caps For Sale by Esphyr Slobodkina. Sculpture team lead Jordan Dean created a special mold to make the slightly oversize version of the hats the peddler carries on his head. We challenged Jordan to stack as many as he could.

Dragons Love Tacos Exhibit Design by Joseph
Why, after 2 long years, i'm the first one to actually come here and ask something? Ok, my question will be... "What is the fine line that separates noble people from vile people? What a vile person can do to became a good person? And what actually makes a noble person vile?"
so cute :D
Incredible! ❤
2:23 is when the song starts
Mister handler is certainly an amazing singer. And is definitely not lemony sniket at all
Chances are I may have never known about The Rabbit HOle if it were not for a curriculum program called ‘N2Y’. Nice to have stumbled on your vid 👍🏼
Holey Moley....every detail you release about this space is triple-filtered with artful detail, wise insight and a creative care that is building a distinct story to carry with us into your doors, was looking for credit of this incredible work, KCAI? studio? in-house? would love to know the talent behind all this effort, well done again
Awesome!
This exhibition is really important! Has it come to fruition?
This exhibit is currently in-progess, and will be completed by our opening date: March 12, 2024.
Goodnight Moon will forever remind me of my grandmother. I remember her reading it TO ME, alone, with my siblings. It will always have a special place in my heart. I am so excited to get to see your museum, especially this particular room! I am so excited to get to bring my students and my teenager & adult children!
We can't wait for you to experience the great green room at The Rabbit hOle! We open March 12, 2024.
Super impressive hat stack, I’d be done after seven caps. 🐇🦎👑
I can't wait to experience this with my granddaughter!
RIP Reading Reptile, long live the Rabbit hOle, and lets go Royals!!!
You folks throw the best parties. So much fun. And, those rabbits!!!
Thank you so much Carol!
Love what you all are doing ! Is this by chance a ‘meow-wolf’ meets storybook like immersive experience? Once it’s all finished?
Both Meow Wolf and the City Museum in St. Louis are similar artist-driven experiences, so yes we often reference them to explain what we're creating! ❤️
The way you all have settled in and immersed yourselves into the creation of every detail of this space exemplifies dedication to picture books, reading, story, active engagement, literature, writers, illustrators, book arts and on and on...it will be a wonder to explore when you officially open your doors...it's like Denver's Casa Bonita but for books, or reading reptile 3.0...a rare thing to look forward to a possible gift shop in a space like this, to buy up the stories you have interacted with and bring them to life again at home with the same creative work and artful action you have shown.
Scribe is a genius!
Oh my gosh! The video of the Last Stop on Market Street made me cry!! WELL DONE!
Can't wait!
