I moved back to Ambler from Atlanta and I have to say, Ambler traffic is basically nonexistent. 🤣 If you think traffic is bad in Ambler, the only place you can go is out into the country. You compared Ambler's nightlife to Philadelphia, so you should compare Ambler's traffic to Philadelphia as well. It's doesn't even register. In general all the suburbs of Philly in this vicinity are a pretty mellow driving experience compared to basically anything but the country.

The mall was one of the first in the nation. I used to go there in the ‘60s with my parents, particularly during the holidays. Didn’t know it was that affordable!

Flooding only happens in Yardley boro on river road which runs alongside the delaware river! Most people live in Lower Makefield twp, which is adjacent (but people still consider it as living in “Yardley)! “ No flooding there, but housing is much higher end depending on the development. It is a lovely area especislly both upper and lower makefield townships. Pennsbury School district used to be more highly-rated, but ratings have slipped quite a bit over the years… disappointing given the high taxes, but likely due to the teachers union and democrats having taken over control! At one time it was highly-rated! The area was once very republican but democrats from NJ and Philly started to move in as the then stupid BOS approved lower income housing developments on the periphery of the town … Disappointing because it led to the overall decline in the school system and general quality of the area. Lots of restaurants, but most are mediocre at best. Hope you are a good cook and only dine out when you feel like driving to Philly 40 minutes away! Or Newtown has a few ok restaurants. Yardley Inn is a very busy place, but the food for the price is mediocre in my opinion. Great ambiance but never had a great meal there, just palatable! McCaffrey Supermarket is great, a little pricy but quality costs more. Best meat and produce around I love this place! The local shopping mall at oxford valley is lowend. So if you want higher end stores like Neiman Marcus, the Kkng of Prussia Mall is 45 minutes down the turnpike. There a few jewels like the Poppy Shop in Yardley boro where you can find gifts and specialty home items even china! Love this store! Best pizza is in Newtown Aqua e Farina! Lots of churches of most demoninations. Great health care options in the area too! Great access to Philly and NY etc via I95 and Turnpike . Also Amtrak station is 20 minutes away in Trenton NJ. Its a great place to live for sure!

When I move out of Philly I will be calling you I’m from bucks County (Bristol)and would like to live somewhat in a town like it

I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

Exton used to be mostly an industrial area. Autocar Trucks used to be located there.

Bucks is close to NY and has numerous train stations to NYC and Philly. Plus the Delaware River, closer to the shore so how does it lose on location?

I live in Drexel Hill, PA & love this region. I'm about five minutes from Philly, accessible to a lot of hospitals, public transportation, supermarkets & am about 20 minutes to the airport. I like living here.

Lehigh Valley area and Philadelphia are big in medical jobs and offices. We have great access to medical care.

I moved here from San Diego, California in 2018. I lived in Northeastern PA,Tunkhannock/Meshoppen, Pennsylvania. The weather here is not too severe. We had our worst snow fall on October, 2020. After that the snow fall were 2 -3 inches during winter. As far as black ice and sleet, I have learned to drive on it , just slow down, pay attention to the roads and weather. Don't get distracted by listening to music or be on the phone calls. Try not to drive in bad weather unless you have too. My body has acclimated to the weather here. I used to get cold at 76 degrees, now, I get cold around 4-10 degrees. I live in the country side. It hard finding a job in my field. If you can find a good job, country living is great.

You are full of sh*t!… People are leaving Pennsylvania and moving to places like the Carolina’s, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and Kentucky. Philadelphia alone lost over 100,000 people. I work with people that left Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Uniontown, State college , Harrisburg. We even had Amish move out of Lancaster. Even they said it wa getting bad!….If the Amish are leaving then you know it’s bad!.

Some of the best Philly suburbs under $500,000 are in NJ!

38 inches of snow. I laugh at you. In upstate NY, 63 inches. I moving to PA. Seriously. I'm looking now and the NE part is gorgeous and affordable. The day I say goodbye to the Empire State will be a day of joy.
