Where do you get the hand held razor? I need that !!
The black one I got from Tandy Leather, but I’m pretty sure you can find it on Amazon.
@LeatherKnightmare thank you sir
strop bevellers with a bit of thick thread or string with compound on, tie to something solid and run it down it a few times, jobs a goodern!
great video, thanks! tip "strop" everything, all the time, if in doubt "strop" i make templates that i use all time out of very thin chopping boards, like 2mm thick, dirt cheap, you can cut out with scissors and sand the edges and they last longer and no dog eared card hehe!.
That's a great idea!
Great video! Thanks for making this! WATL should compensate you for doing a tutorial that they haven't bothered to make themselves! Seems a little silly for them to sell replacement handles & not at least make a basic video detailing HOW to replace the handles. It's not a hard task to complete & it ain't rocket science, but there are a few things an amateur could do that could totally ruin their new handle or make their replacement not stay solid. I went to a vocational high school for welding, so I'm intimately familiar with just how much work can be involved in "undoing bad/wrong" work 😂
Do you have a video on how you make your scales?
For chainmaille I make my own rings usually. But for scale maille I buy the scales. www.theringlord.com has a big selection and kits you can buy
I believe that when you tried to remove the wood from the blade you should have placed the blade the other way around.
Why do you prefer the regular wedges over circular? Do you think it affects the longevity either way?
If the handle begins to get loose the regular wedges are easier to drive deeper and tighten it up again. Tap the axe head further down, drive the wedge a bit more, good to go!
What kind of axe is that? Where did you get it from!? Great video! I’m about to replace a watl competition thrower now with a new handle! Needed this.
It is a Competition Thrower made by Cold Steel. I also have a video on the WATL thrower if you want to check that out.
Thank you Thank you Thank you❤
🪓👍🏻Great job replacing axe handle ..Thank you for sharing with us!

I’m in the process of revamping and will relaunch soon. Thanks for asking!
Will you guys be at the indie market in deland tomorrow?
We will not. Sorry! We are at the Bay Area Renaissance Faire until April 2
@@LeatherKnightmare oh that’s okay! Have fun at the fair!
Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the great video.

I am glad you are using the larger rings. Makes it easy to see and understand especially if you have large hands like myself (XXLG hands).
I do my best to be clear. Glad you enjoy!
What do you use to cut it?
For steel I use an 8 inch bolt cutter. For aluminum, a regular wire cutter should be fine.
Cool! Can’t wait to see the next video
$$$$$$ gracias mill
You made it easy. Thanks
You master the whip :)
Cool!!! It was nice meeting y’all at the Bay Area Renaissance Festival today!
It's two am, I haven't slept in a day and a half and I just shouted OH MY GOD THEY'RE IN PLACE THROUGH THE CARDBOARD YOU GENIUS WITH A RELAXING VOICE
Glad I could help! 😅
What size rings for gold one did you use?
Pretty sure they are 3mm
finally a video that was easy to follow. Thank you !!!!!
What size of ring roads and wire gauge
Pretty sure they are 16 gauge 1/4 inch. But play around with sizes to get different looks
Thank you sir
Thank you so much! Great tutorial on a tricky weave!
Curious as to why you use 2 rivets to attach the straps? Is 1 generally not strong enough?
One should be strong enough. But why not two for extra strength? Also, I tend to like the way it looks. So it is probably style more then strength
@@LeatherKnightmare Because the one that I’m copying from a movie only used one and I want to be screen accurate lol
really nice video
There are so many tutorials on this, but yours is by far the best! It took me 5 minutes to learn with your demonstration, the cardboard trick helps a lot! Soft spoken, slowly showed steps, close-up, perfect. Thanks so much =)
you make it look easy lol
