It’s back to America for Sea School. We had an amazing 6 weeks in the Bahamas for a shakedown cruise. Now up the east coast of the US to continue on our adventure.

Our family explored Pablo Escobar’s plane wreck at Norman Cay, saw the original swimming pigs of the Bahamas at Big Major Cay, and snorkeled Thunderball Grotto at Staniel Cay. We also explored the town and beach.

Three hour sail getting tossed about with half of our crew incapacitated due to “mal de mer” sea sickness. We were so happy to get to the little protected bay on the west end of New Providence Island. April 2024.

Crossing to the Bahamas

We motorsail from Key Largo to Bimini. We see dolphins along the way and some other interesting marine life after swimming. It was a calm day of sailing and it took nearly 12 hours.
