Why people do degree in different field and do job in different? There are not 1-2 cases, but a lot more people than exprected do this. Why? Aren't there enough jobs in the domain they have graduated? Computer science related jobs has a lots of people from other backgroud like mechanical engineers , civil engineers, electrical engineers. These people should understand that IT people are least supported by government. Most government departments have jobs and proper recruitment for electrical, civil,mechanical,etc (except it,cse) engineers. Why is everybody trying to enter computer science field? I am a cse engineer and while working, i see that people from non it background have weak foundation of IT and CSE knowledge and yet they get placed in cse/it jobs. The good talent from it/cse don't get job, because, obviously there are limited number of jobs everywhere. Please try to encourage people to choose their graduation and course wisely and encourage them to find job in their own domain of graduation. What will this man do, if he gets bored of current job domain? Will he be able to switch to other IT job role? Not easily, because his IT foundations would be weaker than a IT/CSE graduate. Will he be able to go back to his mechanical career? No.because he already said bye bye to it. So, everybody, don't just see good IT packages, choose your graduation and jobs wisely.
