I am a siren enthusiast and a railfan, and I record sirens and trains in the La Crosse, WI area.

Federal Signal 2001-SRN Siren Test- Winona, MN 8-3-2022
I figured I should post this video from August of 2022, of the Levee Park 2001-SRN, filmed from Latsch Park. Latsch Park is across the river (Mississippi River) from the siren, and the bluffs made for a cool background.

This is the first full monthly test of this FS Equinox that was installed yesterday (6-4-2024). Now that I have a portable generator capable of powering my Model 2, along with a AR Timer that is wired correctly, it was fitting to test everything together. For the August 2023 siren test I decided it would be cool to get a recording of the 2001-SRNB mounted on City Hall in La Crosse from Pettibone Park. For the Houston County, MN siren test, I decided to go back to Caledonia to revisit the Thunderbolt that I last recorded in May of 2020. Every year, Wisconsin and Minnesota hold a statewide tornado drill on the same day. However this year, the drill was postponed to Friday the 21st- but for WI only. On 4-7-2022 Wisconsin held their annual statewide tornado drill at 1:45 PM and 6:45 PM. We decided to go to this STL-10 on Schubert Road in Trempealeau, WI that had not been recorded before. Come on they could have used an Eclipse 8 to replace the 2t22 instead.
@@GunnarWuollet The Eclipse 8 has the same chopper as the 508, and the 508 is effective for a greater distance because it’s directional. Though it’s simpler to have a siren that doesn’t rotate.
