Kirill Kondrashin is my favourite conductor. Very interesting are his interpretations of Mahler, Shostakovich, Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky, Weinberg and so on.You can find a lot on youtube from Kondrashin but I couldn't find just one channel with just his interpretations. So my intention is to build up a channel just for this great master.

The Execution of Stepan Razin (Russian «Казнь Степана Разина») (Op. 119) is a cantata composed by Dimitri Shostakovich to a libretto by Yevgeny Yevtushenko in 1964. The subject is the execution of Stepan Razin, a Cossack leader who headed a major uprising (1670-71) against the nobility and tsarist bureaucracy in southern Russia.

Mysterium is an unfinished musical work by composer Alexander Scriabin. He started working on the composition in 1903, but left it incomplete when he died in 1915. Scriabin planned that the work would be synesthetic, exploiting the senses of smell and touch as well as hearing.Part 1 "Universe" was recorded in 1973, conducted by Kiril Kondrashin, released LP 1973
