Idk why youtube reccomended this to me but this was amazing! Reminded me of some of the plays I used to write for my own community theatre. I especially love how rarely you notice them holding scripts, they blend well into the scene. Thank you for preserving this
cool production
Do you have sheet music for this?
i sang thing and i think mines was better just a opinion tho
"By my so potent art. But this rough magic I here abjure. and when I have required some heavenly music, which even now I do. To work mine end upon their senses that This airy charm is for I’ll break my staff, Bury it certain fathoms in the Earth. And deeper than did ever plummet sound.. I’ll drown my book" The Tempist is my favorite.
Nice...
Terrific!

wow what a spammer
Good morning
Absolutely lyrical with the music as a backdrop to Caliban's beautiful speech. Very original and heartbreaking!
Excellent, one of my favorite poems! It's hard to convert Shakespeare into music as perfect as his writing, and I don't know if this quite does it (by those high standards :) ) , but it is beautiful music. Wish I could have seen the play!
Oh, to be under a gaberdine with such a fine Trinculo...
This was great. I loved it! He's a wonderful actor.
the way that Ariel "appears" and "disappears" is also very judiciously done- very impressive
the slight grotesquerie of the performance is also excellent, and unexpected, but I think the material the wings are made from lets the scene down quite a lot. Everything else on stage looks great, but the way the light falls on the solid material of the wings looks very amateur- it's not that expensive to acquire or to make angel's wings with real feathers (I've seen them on sale for $20 or so) and real feathers look excellent when spread out against a blank background.
the lady has a very powerful voice
It's a great effort. But I would have refrained from shifting my weight from foot to foot in the epilogue, it's dissipates the power of the speech and it distracts the viewer. I also think it's worth considering taking one's time over that speech, it's very elegiac- this rendition feels a little rushed. But having a younger Prospero works well !
The singer is amazing!
That actually gave me goosebumps
Is this a soliloquy or a monologue?
Supposed to be a monologue.
Ad B what’s the difference???
This is very nice and eerie, just as the song should be!
Well done, folks.
This is beautiful. Was this arranged by yourselves or is it a particular arrangement of the song? I'd love to find the sheet music of this.
We did the arrangement -- email ken@hobnobtheatre.com to get the sheet music.
