excellent exegesis of this topic. I have read the Pia Mellody books and attended Patrick Carnes seminars on this subject matter. I have spent years studying this very fascinating topic. Your explanation was very concise and well done. My experience is that these disorders are very treatment-resistant. It is a steep learning curve.

Steve…. This is by far the absolute best diagram/outline for the emotions and aftermath that I have seen. Most all of us have zero words to describe how we feel because the emotions are so strong and mixed together that it becomes one huge ball of energy. Thanks for breaking this down, giving it words and pointing us in a direction.

Thank you so much for this! Trying to pull myself out of a 3 month relapse after one month clean.. Got a meeting with a drug worker this week, planned a couple NA meetings! I was looking for a different tool and stumbled across by accident! Just felt a motivation spur as watching this and working on my own 3 circles now.. will definitely go over this with my drugs support worker this week! Thanks once again!
