The need for policy change is key to driving inclusive growth and removing all the barriers that SMEs face in participating in mainstream economy where the Sharks intend to eat the smaller fish due to their sheer size. Most bigger corporates have a tendency of suffocating SMEs through price smoothering making it difficult to compete with these companies on a economic level. So to say leverage is key for SMEs in the form of market capitalization through funding from DFIs including market access through DTIC and various Trade Consulates stationed within South Africa. Last week I attended the webinar where Saudi Arabia is intending to import beef 🥩 and it's processed products from South Africa after a 21year ban because of foot and mouth diseases in the past. Such are an example that SMEs must be encouraged to participate in order to grow our economy because local markets won't grow the economy without exports to leverage growth. There are lots of opportunities that Black Industrialist haven't been able to tackle head on because of lack of information, applied knowledge and funding. I believe incoming/outgoing trade missions is key to unlock the trade secrets of which only bigger companies enjoy to date where only a handful of SMEs participate. The challenges faced being lack of knowledge on regional & international trade. No country can be prosperous without exports. SMEs tend to rely solely on government tenders as their only means of economic sustainability. This makes it hard to grow our economy without utilizing bilateral trade agreements within member countries we must know that no province/country lives in isolation we import and export within provinces/countries because of geographic nature. As we all know apples are imported from Western Cape whereas oranges from Mpumalanga and Limpopo. This is the information that all SMEs must know in order to think outside the box and grow our economy beyond our provinces and borders. Dr Nthabiseng Moleko your vision has agility and prowess.

I recently heard about NEF through a lady that was funded by them for a Deboneours franchise in Pretoria. Indeed NEF is keen in empowerment of black industrialist businesses which is leading in economic growth and reducing dependency through imports.

Good to hear that helps, my question is l've all my documents in order l've signed in legal documents for the land since l am planning on building a complex, l signed in with NEF 2022 they asked for my marketing strategy in which last year l had to hire marketing professional to write it for me once l submitted they then reach out to me giving me NEF agents like Thanbang B to be allocated to my project l've a partner who has more than 8 years in building supplies l informed them then l had a response of l should do a joint venture which is the JV agreement l need to know what does this mean am l close to funding or not because now my private marketing agents are now demanding income and l've not much money left to pay them l need to have a light understanding so that l know. Please 🙏

I want to start manufacturing company, but before I apply for funding I need Non-Financial support first to learn about compiling business plan and business training since I am inexperienced about the type of manufacturing sector I want to associate myself with. Is the Business training an online course or I have to attend a class created by NEF?
