You could make this so much easier by using parent/child names for your fields. Name the Amount fields amount.0, amount.1, amount.2, etc. You could have a million fields in a column and simply go up to the built-in formulas and choose Sum, then pick the root name amount and all child field names are summed. You need to pick only one item in the list -the parent name. That's so much easier than typing a hundred field names in a simplified field equation.

Very good tutorial, interesting the validation script. You should create a video with several small, short scripts for small tasks. Text validation only (including @ . , ). Digit validation only (with the correct decimal separator depending on the region). Etc.

Question: Once I've built the PDF file with the calculated form fields, how can people actually fill it out?? When I try to open the PDF on my iPhone, the calculated fields don't work. If I open the form in Acrobat Reader on my iPhone, the formatting stays, but the calculated fields still don't work. I have confirmed that it DOES work in the PAID version of Acrobat Pro, but seems to lose the functionality with any free PDF viewer. Thank you for any insights!
