@Reign_FPS that's cool man have you started looking around for work or anything yet? I've tried looking but it kind of scares me not seeing too many designer jobs out there especially remote.

I have not. My plans for this degree are probably different than most. I plan to use this as a prerequisite for a Masters Degree in Systems Engineering. I work as a Systems Engineer now and got the job from military experiance. Now I am working to get the college degrees to back up my experiance. I do know that the world is changing back to less remote work. It is becoming harder to find remote jobs in any industry as companies are putting an emphasis back on in person work.

@@Reign_FPShey man! Like the level design and the bots animations/look! Veteran here as well, how worth it would you say the associates level Game development path is? I have a bachelors in IT from AMU and mostly wanting to learn game development as a hobby or to make my own indie games but with a potential to work in the industry as well. Not sure if I should go for a masters in computer science for the career side of things or if I would learn indie dev from this path

@@mattynice1798 my honest answer is that the courses are more expensive than they are worth. I appreciate the kind words as well. But my experience is that the courses often just have us learning from UA-cam/LinkedIn/UnrealEngine courses. If the goal is to do it as a hobby I would probably recommend using open source information or even udemy courses. Unless you need the degree. For computer science I would opt toward an ABET accredited school. I did the course as a means to pursue my masters I just wanted a quick and fun bachelors program in something I enjoyed

With the premium it sounds much much better. A lot of different dialects and every controller sounds different. I am currently flying a campaign and I’m in the Caribbean and it’s really good

The premium voices are a bit better. The idea is its way better than using the default atc that you can not voice control. I know the developers put a lot of time into this program I've been monitoring their discord for a long time. They cant make a living off of free so I understand the $30. Once its finished you still wont pay any more. its a one time purchase so I think its fair. The have released multiple updates per day to the software. As a software dev myself I can appreciate the work they are doing.

Yea I think waiting is probably the best approach. I should try Vatsim here soon. I’m studying IFR procedures a bit the. I’ll probably give it a go. The program just updated and now isn’t working so it’s certainly very very early access

Welp I have an unfortunate response. Just tried it out and it can’t pull the active runways for the uncontrolled airport and cancelled the flight plan asking you to load a new plan 😕So as of now no it can’t handle transition to uncontrolled airspace.

I haven’t tested that yet… Looks like you just gave me my next video idea lol. Yea I wonder if it will hand you off to the airports local frequency? That’s a very good question. If I get time this evening I’ll fire up the Sim and find out.

I had a bunch of bugs when flying to smaller airports. It seems like the larger more popular airports work better. I livestream this game on Sunday mornings.The bugs will be shown. The reason I choose this flight is that it is one of the routes that seems to work well. I appreciate you watching. I hope someday I can get sponsored by some devs lol. But yea this flight works well. If you want it I could get the sim brief plan and leave a link here. I’m at work now so I could do it when I get home.

Thanks. I'm sure I could figure out the route. But the bugs I was dealing with were more related to the software itself. Like after one update, my controllers wouldn't trigger the voice although I could assign them in the app. Then after another, the program kept becoming unresponsive and I'd have to pause the flight, kill it through the task manager and run it again. But like I said before, I was warned ahead of time 😋

I was using Streamlabs Desktop to record. It allows tons of customization for recording. Then CapCut to edit. I am planning some livestreams soon using beyond ATC. Thank you for watching and the kind words. Have a good one.

Awesome and appreciate you watching. Yea it does seem to always want to use vectors at KSAN. I don’t think normally ATC tells you to exit in a direction I think the pilot makes that call in real life. Maybe I’m wrong. Certainly has bugs but for $30 it beats the hell out of the default ATC. I also had mic issues. I had to go into the sound control panel and make sure my mic was set as the default communication device. I think as a training aid for new players it will be incredible. I have done flight sim on and off for years but with this I feel I’m getting closer to being ready for Vatsim. Definitely buggy certain airports seem like they don’t work at all for the approach.
