Explorations into the vastness of music and aviation.
LAX Coastal Route VFR Transition
This is a video about a flight that started at Long Beach Airport KLGB (Daugherty Field) in California headed to Livermore, California (KLVK). It starts with a call to clearance delivery to request flight following and a published Coastal Route VFR transition through the Los Angeles (LAX) Class B airspace. Then a call to ground for taxi, tower for takeoff and SoCal departure for clearance into Class B airspace. En route, you can get a good view of the landscape on the western side of KLGB including the Port of Long Beach and Zamperini field in Torrance. Then we fly along the coastline and over the western edge of LAX airport, past Santa Monica airport, UCLA, Santa Clarita towards Castaic Lake, Pyramic Lake, Gorman VOR, Tejon Pass and the grapevine. The video ends once we cross over Tejon Pass to the flatlands south of Bakersfield.

Nice flight. Always good to get the ATIS before calling CLNC. I treat them like a TWR controller in terms of what they need to know that I know.
Looks like fun, you need to have someone flying with you.
Why has this not been updated in the literature then?
Norcal splits the frequencies and hands them to the local tower controllers. Even though 90% of the time we are asked to contact 125.1, I understand Norcal has decided not to publish it for whatever reason.
I, as 182-owner, would go crazy with a neighbor like him at the co-pilot seat...
Good CFI!

what a forgivable and amazing plane the 182, safest stall of all cessnas in my opinion
Bahut sunder guru ji,,,
Super Nanduji
Awesome talent man!
Thanks for watching, James!
scared to death of the stall. the CFI should have demonstrated it first.
When I was geting my 1st ticket we used to do these in a 150 with cuise power. The 150 would just break and fall back on the upside wing and then keep flying. I never did too many of these in my 182. Would have to get the nose up pretty high and in about a 30 degreee bank. I always thought that at times they spent too much time on stall recovery (which is important) and not enough time on understanding when an aircraft's wing is about to stall. Stalls when under the hood were always fun.
We used to like to let them snap into a 2 turn spin. It was fun.👍
My instructor was natiinal aerobatic champion a couple years 😎😁😁
great teacher...and student.
