I know I'm late, but this makes me cry everytime. So many good memories here. They're closing down all our childhood amusants for offices and flats. Same thing at canada water hollywood bowl. Our childhood is being ripped away and destroyed for future generations too. RIP Showcase. Gone but not forgotten. Crazy to think it feels like yesterday I was in there watching the newest movies.

This is really sad. Thanks for posting. When I wax 17 in the late seventies I worked in that building. I have so good memories from that era. Does anybody remember the Henry Ford pub ?

That was my favourite childhood place. Great memories of going here with my grandad and cousin back in 1998-2006 seeing the rugrats movie, shrek, HP, monsters inc, spider man etc. gut wrenching watching this😢they didn’t even bother taking the vintage posters down just letting them get destroyed in the rubble😡

It’s sad to see this estate go down tbh but it was filled with crackheads lighting fires in the flats and it’s right next to a school to so it’s not really good environment for the children there

I filmed a video for UA-cam but haven’t made it public yet it’s was a site to see really with 300 flats or houses just left some empty and some with stuff in like beds and belongings was amazing to have a look and explore have taken like 200 pictures at the flats over 4 different visits over the year and a half

i have been in every single flat there explored it all

Careys demolition,founded in 1969,by someone who relocated from Ireland,to London,clearly operating in the Ford plant,in Dagenham,Essex.There is no doubt about what country it is.
