I see in the manual that the quick port is this: 1xDC 30A Quick Charger. Can you input through the EC5 connector with a cigarette lighter male connector on the other end of a cable? And how many watts would a car/truck push into this battery using this cable? I'm assuming a cigarette lighter plug outputs at 10 amps.

I bought these a couple of years ago same set up and have not been happy with them. I got maybe 8 miles on them, and now they are a couple of years old I get maybe two. Getting ready to get new ones from a different company. I never got them to work right and couldn't get the battery gauge ( that I bought from relion) to work correctly. Also the batteries no longer stay synced so one drains faster than the other, and when you charge them one charges, and then I have to replug it into charge the other one. Customer service is an answering service where you leave a message and then someone might get back to you from California, so you might get a call back at 8:00 at night. For what I paid im very disappointed.

I have li-ion batterys for all my ryobi power tools and they can go for upto 6 months without been used and i have been storing them all with a full charge and i have been woundering do i need to charge them every so often when they are in storage or are they ok to just leave them until i use them thanks

I know how to store LIPO batteries Wanted to check LION. sorry no help or clear info. PS LIPO batteries should be stored at a specific voltage or damage is done. Not saying you are wrong the bats you are referring to are probably smart bats to a degree. Thanks

I wish I could recommend the RELiON RB100, but capacity on mine dropped to 70% after just 3.5 years with indoor temperature-controlled usage within their recommended charge and discharge specs. On consulting warranty support, I learned that "10-year Warranty" actually means only 3-year replacement, followed by 20% off of a new unit in years 4-5, and 10% off in years 6-10, with no repair option... That doesn't qualify as a "10-year warranty" in my book. It was good for three years, anyway, so average TCO about $315/year.

How do we prevent over taxing the alternator? My Merc 150 has a 60 amp alternator, wouldn't that battery be trying to charge at higher than 60 amps? Also - what about the BMS shutting down the charging abruptly?

purchased 2 relion RB 75 ah lithium for my NEW Thor Chateau 22E purchased from Motorhome Specialists RV sales in eyAlvarado TX. in June of 2021. Just 2 yrs and 3 months BOTH BATTERIES ARE DEAD--- took rv to MHS and they told me I would have to contact Relion Am soooooo confused why these batteries went DEAD---so soon????????VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED IN SPENDING SOOO MUCH MONEY

What does "Simon Say" about a shallow discharge / charge cycle of an LiFePO4 battery? Example - A typical 2000WH SOGEN battery bank with an approximate 500 watt air conditioner load that is fed/charged with ~ 475 watts of solar. When the AC compressor cycles off, now fan only, the 475 watts are now charging the Sogen for ~ 5 minutes. Then after the AC compressor kicks back on, the use cycle is repeated. The Sogen display varies from about a 62% charge level when the AC compressor is on and the Sogen charge display increases to about 63-64% when the AC is "fan only". Does this usage pattern have any negative effects on the Sogen's LiFePO4 batteries???? Me AND all your other viewers may have a similar question about this "short cycle" use.... Thanks ahead of time for your experienced opinion....

Relion has a reputation for producing good quality products; I have several, but this is a waste of time as far as an evaluation goes.

According to the 2021 research paper "The Degradation Behavior of LiFePO4/C Batteries during LongTerm Calendar Aging", storing your battery at high charge (90%+) and 25C prolongs the life of the battery.

1:30 Actually, as other tests that can be found on UA-cam have clearly demonstrated, LiFePO4 batteries DO catch fire if punctured. Though they are clearly safer than your average smartphone or laptop battery, they are not perfect and 100% safe.

I'm still in the fog regarding the "float" setting for a lithium battery, as I have been told it doesn't need one. I bought a Kisea charger/inverter last year, and then after deciding to upgrade to lithium, I was told I needed a new charger/inverter equipped for the lithium option. So I bought the new inverter. But when you look at the specs between the two, the old was 14.3/14.3/13.4 and the new is 14.6/14.6/13.8. What have I actually gained? I'm dumbfounded? Seems like my old unit would have worked fine. And why does the new unit even have a float spec if it should be disabled anyway? ???????
