The Camera That Almost Got Everything Right: Mamiya 645 Pro TL
The Mamiya 645 Pro TL nearly got everything right. If it wasn't so expensive (even though its still a cheaper alternative than some other models) it would really make more of an impact in the scene. I absolutely adore this camera and would recommend it in a heartbeat.

I have invested in the Mamiya 645 (ProTL) system (10 lenses, sigh), the Hasselblad V system (5 lenses) and the Rolleiflex system (it isn't a system really, just a freaking good camera, especially for analog IR). When it comes to easy handling and above all macro work (with the Mamiya-Sekor 120 mm/f4 capable of 1:1, yes HB, keep standing in the corner of shame!) I always return to Mamiya. Although a bit plasticky, the plastic is very sturdy and the image quality is 2nd to none of the others.

@@junoworldwide yeah I found an old canon g2 from 2000 and here I read info about people who’s paid 1000 because wasn’t a normally digicam . Canon power h series have a special sensor very advanced for this years even I own a digicam Panasonic 2010’ with 12 mp and . Canon photos from G2 with 5 mp looks like a film picture or cinematic , check in Google photos with canon power g2 .

@@seanmcmaster4856 One of the drawbacks to the 645 is you can’t get a polaroid back for different photo types. It also uses a small battery so if you want to stay fully mechanical I’d say an RB67. HOWEVER, what drew me the most to the 645 format is the ability to get 5 extra shots out of it. As I’m leaning into this medium more, I appreciate the 5 extra shots to nail my photos more. Whether it’s exposure, composition, or just one extra shot to be sure, the 645 has me covered in a way the RB67 doesn’t. I may convert but probably in a while. Hope that helps!
@@junoworldwide thanks for the reply. I am leaning toward the 645 for less weight and portability, and I definitely could use the extra frames. Another consideration is the 6x4.5 negatives will fit on many 2.25x2. 25in enlargers. I may try to design a 645 instax back, I see there are some designs online but nothing open source. The instax film size is almost the same area as 6x4.5.
Good video but your audio needs work I suggest using a simple echo remover through RTX studio or if you want to properly manipulate it use adobe audition

Did you trade in the FM2 for this?? Or was that the other option… Love the video man but nothing gets better than the FM2. By far the best camera one could buy.
that was the other option and I slightly regretted I didn't get it - what lens did you get for it?
@@junoworldwide 35 f2, 50 f1.4, 135 f2.8 and 80-200 f2.8. Will probably replace the 135 with a 105 or 85 though

Let's be real, Leicaflex was a very delayed, very expensive attempt by Leica to catch up with every Leica user also having a Nikon around their neck (while not everyone with a Nikon had a Leica). The later R models were all engineered under contract by a Japanese company... like basically all Leica cameras.

Probably a great camera, but I have never heard of buying a camera to match your outfit. Of course if all you wear is black, then it is easy...enjoy your next choice.
I’m not saying necessarily to match the fit but a lot of cameras can achieve the same thing. you have a choice in the style you move forward with ya know?

Yes, I wanted to get one to add to my collection and it is over 200. I noticed any camera that looks like…X100, rangefinder, compact or Leica style are rising in prices do to X100v and GRiii being too expensive many are looking for cheap alternatives. Apparently those alternatives are slowly becoming expensive.

I managed to find a local seller on ebay, wo sold it for 25usd he doesn't really looked around for prices, but yeah, old cameras are spiked up in price now. One part retro hipstering. Other part, people realozed that after 2 month of pocket polish on ther phone lens, they degrade hughly in quality.
