That Calculator part was really unnecessary, you could've just "2x upscaled"
Naw, it shows you how to figure out how to get to what size you want. But sure you could just hit 2x if you already knew that would take you to 4k. Not everyone knows so I showed it dude.

No, it's the newest version (at that time I made this video) I bought it.
A thing to take note of, I do turn improve details up to 30-60 if I'm dealing with an AI made video or a portrait shot of a talking head video. Other than that my advice is leaving improve details on 0 when your upscaling because it messes eyes up bad on humans.

Click on the export as in the bottom right and it will pop up asking you where you want to save the video at.

Link to the presets is in the description. Just download them and move the files to Documents/Adobe/(Your version of After Effects)/ User Presets. Once you do that you can follow along the tutorial with ease.
