Taiwan should have won the game in the six inning, but the bad umpiring by the home plate umpire helped Florida tie the game in that inning. The HBP should have been called a strike as the video replay clearly shows the batter standing directly over the plate and he did not even try to get out of the way of the pitch. Also the umpire made 2 bad ball and strike calls in that inning that definitely helped Florida.

We are NOT China, we are TAIWAN. And the coach was not laughing but with warm encouraging smile, if you watch the whole game you will know how the coaches teach our kids. They need time and space to get through it.

@@許祐瑀-i7n Sorry thought it was China. You don't see the coach go up and hug his group like the Florida coaches did being they were crying and hurt at losing the game!

It's the 2nd base player to cover 1st on a bunt. The first baseman comes in to field a bunt down the 1st base line.

Even with someone at first, looks like the throw was high and late. Runner probably would have been safe.

I’d say the correct play was hold the ball and check the runner and hold him at 2nd. Let the runner take first then play for a double play or a force out at third.

China did have runner at 2nd in top of 8th inning. They did not score him. The rules were explained after the 6th inning on ABC broadcast. Regular 7th inning, start with runner on 2nd starting in 8th inning.

The bunt play was taking place and USA scores from the throwing error... *it was very confusing.. It seemed my local tv station didn't show Taipei's opportunity to score during the extra inning... It was really strange... I'm noticing, other viewers from my local tv area are stating the same issue and complaint..

At the top of the 8th inning with a Taiwanese runner on 2nd, the TV commentators were perplexed as to why the Taiwan head coach / manager wasn't having his lead-off batters bunting. This is what is normally expected. Taiwan is known for its "small ball" so bunting to advance the runner on 2nd base is what is expected. Instead, Florida did what Taiwan should have done and bunted . . . and won the game.

You are correct they were back to back US CHAMPIONS, they lost to China Tapei both years in the CHAMPIONSHIP game…so you’re not wrong technically but they way they distinguish it this would make them the first FL team to win it ALL…

It’s not their 3rd title. It is the 1st. You don’t win it all by only winning the U.S. title. It’s not a technically. Do you think an NFL team that won its conference title but lost the Super Bowl won a championship? There is only one winner at end of day, not two. Geez.

I don't understand the rules to LL world series. How come China did not get the same opportunity of having a base runner on 2nd base?? ABC didn't explain this???

@@chilitorrescano8524 The runner wasn't on 3rd base. He was on 2nd base, with the bunt he advenced to 3rd base but with the "bad throw" (no one covering 1st base, the ball went to the right fielder allowing the runner to score. In other words the runner scored from 2nd on a bunt thanks to the error

@@chilitorrescano8524 Don't worry for your writing, I understand you (I can speak spanish also). Maybe there was an error on the TV transmision, Taipei did went to bat at the top of the 8th inning but did nothing, and since Florida was the home team, they won in a walk-off

@BIGDogzLZ *Yes, I agree with you 💯. My local ABC did not show Taipei opportunity to score the extra inning and did not show USA player on 2nd base. What my local ABC channel showed was COMMERCIALS!😡. When the commercials ended, a USA player had bunted the ball and a USA player slid in at home plate with winning run as a throwing error accured. It was tremendously confusing. My local channel only showed the bunt already in progress, the throwing error towards 1st base, then suddenly all the Asian players started crying... Horrible broadcast by my local channel during the final minutes of a great game
