Beginning Liberty for Building Confidence and Connection with Tiny
I’m motivated to see if I can develop a Liberty for Confidence and Greater Connection using no whips.
When I got Tiny he lacked confidence in everything, especially people. He avoided being caught even in the stall. I’ve spent a year building his connection, relaxation and confidence online and under saddle.
But we all want to keep growing and developing, so when I was recently inspired to play with more Liberty to get more truth.
At Liberty with no whips, you have taken away your biggest form of Intimidation. I want to Inspire, not Make, horses to connect and offer more. I feel like giving them more Free Choice by using Mirroring/Draw vs Trap and Drive.
This is our second day introducing this offline in the arena. I didn’t use a round pen bc he couldn’t get away from me if I got too loud. This arena has no gate and a very very short fence. If I’m too loud, he can leave any time.
He was much less confident on his right side yesterday, so you can see I’m focused on building his confidence and not being too picky when he offers it.
We shall see if it works!

Amazing Dog-Friendly Mid June Garden Tour, Zone 7b/8a

I was out of town for two weeks and Tommy had to water and take care of the garden. When I got home, I was blown away at how beautiful everything was and how much it all grown! I had to make another garden tour video. Enjoy all the beautiful colors, the daylilies and the cone flowers, and how well Tommy took care of everything and all the dogs and horses while I was gone!

Sparty coming into himself! Tori Bentley riding at Haven Hill Farm
Переглядів 876 місяців тому
It’s been a wonderful opportunity to help Sparty find his way back to riding! We have had some challenges along the way, but with every horse, especially a war horse who ran 76 times, we expect some blips. The vast majority, if not all, are trauma release issues. Some he picked up racing, but many he developed after racing from being pushed immediately by another rider/riders. When restarting T...

Playground of Safety is a mind blowing exercise that can inspire a horse to seek Relaxation and Endorphins. Here we have a super High Freeze mare that’s spent literally hours in POS without being (mentally) present or finding any real peace or release. We decided to bring out Sparty, a gelding that’s come to also get some help, to inspire her to start to relax and release. It works and Rosie fi...

Spartacus Riding Update: He is a Knee Ride, not a Calf Ride right now

Spartacus is making progress and has started sharing more with us. During this ride Tommy realized that Sparty was fine moving along as long as his calf stayed off of him. You will see when he was asking for trot, Sparty is sticky and uncomfortable. Tommy stopped and thought about it, then said Sparty puts his ears back and more when his calf accidentally bumps or squeezes him. If he leaves his...

    Please turn on comments on the grounding video. Because, info, grounding through the outlets is not a good idea. the ground conductors pick up a lot of EMF noise from running so close to the other wires. It is way better to run a separate copper conductor outside to a separate ground rod. Please and thanks, I just want the best for all, not trying to stire things up.

    Your videos are so uplifting and I don’t even have a horse. It’s so peaceful and yes he does understand… lol ❤😊 If possible can you add something in the titles that says it is about horses such as a hashtag or the Title saying “Building Confidence in Tiny the Horse.” I want others to see your videos. Especially people who love and train horses. 🐎 Thanks for sharing.

    Hi, I know this comment isn’t about the video that you have posted here, but it is about a video that you posted a few years back about making pillows out of the conductive fabric. I am curious and would love to try to make one, but I had a question do you can you sew through that like could you make a pillowcase and actually so through that material along with, a cotton pillow cover I’d love to see a video on that if you had one thank you so much

      @charlottecannon5288 5 місяців тому

      This is not colic, although if you aren’t used to doing Playground of Safety exercise, I can see why you would ask. This is a holding safe space exercise that allows the horse to release trauma and chaotic charge from his body. I stand ‘guard’ so he can lie down and go deep within himself to process and release old emotions and trauma.

    • @charlottecannon5288

      It is similar for sure. I learned Endotapping from JP and Cedar. But I’ve taken the relaxation and connection response to another level They teach a head down button and a stop cue, but after that they focus more on amplification rather than relaxation. JP came to see me and was in shock with what I’d done with it. He then took my horse and could sense the slightest imbalance in his gait. He would tap with perfect timing to get his balance and gaits symmetrical in motion. I saw Cedar teach a horse to passage and Spanish walk faster than I ever imagined! So we use the same cue, just with different intentions.

    In a barefoot horse on a property with no electricity, how would I be able to try that?

    • @chamberlainfamilyfarm
      @chamberlainfamilyfarm Рік тому

      You can stick the grounding end of the cord directly into the ground! BUT, a horse should already be grounded because they are barefoot....unless her barn was somehow not grounded. Even concrete is still grounded. So her video needs more explaining....

    • @liferockfarm
      @liferockfarm Рік тому

      @@chamberlainfamilyfarm I found out that it is ME that needs the grounding. I now have to hold onto the metal fence while grooming because my rubber soled shoes allow me to build up quite a charge. I used to have a grounding rod for my electric poultry net. My results with the grounding rod were spotty when the soil was dry. We have too many rocks to get down to moist soil.

  • @skarath
    @skarath 2 роки тому

    The horseshoes are conductive I believe . If so, the horse should be grounded already. You can measure electrical resistance to see grounding by measuring between the ground and the object to test. Directly checking resistivity (when low ohms, it means good conduction). The other way is indirect, we can set a volt meter to Auto-Ranging A/C and measure the repel force on low frequency EMF. When one is grounded they are an extension of the Earth's electrical field and repel low frequency EMF. This repel force decreases as the frequency increases and becomes non existent at about 100kHz. A hand held volt meter set on Auto-Ranging A/C when you set one lead to ground and hold the other lead will measure the low frequency induced body charge (which will be the 60Hz house hold EMF). When grounded this induced body charge from 60Hz house hold EMF will drop by orders of magnitude.

      Her horses are probably shod, most performance horses are. Too, the hooves are in constant contact with the ground. I don't know how conductive the hoof is. I would quess a horse grazing is more grounded than one under saddle because it's nose is in contact with the ground. Another thing animals with split hooves i.e. cattle and animals with pads (felines and canines), I would think are somewhat grounded all the time. Unless the are housepets not living in a concrete slab home . She has I nice barn, so I'm wondering if the stalls are concrete with rubbermats. She has her horse in cross ties, probably the shower stall, so it is concrete. That would mean her test, if on a correct selection, would indicate the shod horse, standing on concrete is not grounded. Its my understanding about concrete, it's the iron rebar that is the grounding element. And I think the slab has to be bare and not covered with flooring. If anyone can do a shod vs barefoot horse or a grazing horse vs a horse not grazing, it would be enlightening. I've interested in this "grounding" for awhile but since my husband passed away the the effects of grief have been physically difficult. I feel toxic all the time, low energy, sleeplessness, stiffness and headaches. Ive even had vertigo. I also was interrested because I have older pets and I work occasionally at a horse barn. So, thank you for the video. I wish you the best.
