reminds me of watching hannu mikkola off the start line at epynt eat 500 yard straight up in seconds and when he revved it let the clutch out to warm up the tyres all 4 wheels spinning tyre smoke every where then calmly reversed back for the start.dai was a really quick driver always seemed to be the guy who'd plaster me in gravel

One of my heros. Remeber seeing Jimmy in his Chevette HSR as a kid on the Circuit of Ireland, and being shocked to learn of his helicopter death not long after I bought my Prodrive P1 - what a car!! Always remembered fondly as a fellow Scotsman R.I.P. Colin <3

Colin inspired me to actually start driving. I remember when I was a kid around 6-7 years old and I played Colin McRae 2005 on the family computer. I also remember that I always wanted to watch Group B and McRae DVD's as a kid. Now I'm 15, my parents gave me a cheap little car to learn to drive in, for the 5 months that I've been driving, I changed my point of view of everything. I thought asphalt (track, hill climbs) were my thing, until I drove once on tarmac and gravel once. My ultimate dream is to become a rally driver, even a not very successful one, when I grow older. Everytime I see a meaneye Impreza I think of you. Thank you, Colin, you made my summer and opened a door for me, that I never thought would be opened. Next year I can legally compete in actual races and I cannot wait. Rest in Piece, Legend! 💔

In all rally fans, including me... the number one best rally driver will always be Colin McRae... regardless of how many Championship he had won or anything, but his flamboyant, determination, sideways and never give up easily-style is what makes him a legend....he really deserves a biopic movie...
