Is it just me or were the limbs on that aluminum bow bending kinda funny? Idk, it just looks as if the petals for the limb pockets extended just a bit too far off the riser and put a weird little kink in the limbs at that main stress point... Something tells me they might have gone through one or two of those bows and had to have them replaced during production. It didn't seem to be flexing uniformly either, like the bottom was bending more than the top which would typically indicate that the bow wasn't properly tillered prior to use, although I'm not really sure how that would work with aluminum limbs like that as this is not a common material for working power limbs whatsoever (typically they're made from fiberglass or wood laminate and polymer composites encased in epoxy resin). I've seen some custom bows with metallic limbs before such as a couple with aluminum limbs and a few with steel limbs made from an automotive leaf spring, but generally speaking metal limbs tend to perform rather poorly. They're heavy and slow and are quite poor at storing and transfering energy in a manner necessary to propel a bowstring. It can certainly work, but it is a poor and rather labor intensive choice for a limb material when their are so many other far superior and high-quality options available; especially in the modern age when we have so many advanced, high-strength, space-age polymers and composites avaliable. These modern materials can be just as strong as steel (if not stronger), but are only a mere fraction of the weight and can be machined/manipulated and manufactured far more quickly and easily than metallic alloys. Many of these composite materials possess unique combinations of certain physical and chemical properties that simply cannot be achieved in metallic alloys even with the most advanced metallurgical technology making them particularly suited for all manner of specialized applications. For example materials such as carbon/aramid fiber composites or Innegra can be used in all sorts of structural applications where characteristics such as strength to weight are critical. These materials have been used to produce some of the most advanced and impressive high-performance limbs on the market for the modern recurve bow. Some of this stuff is truly quite remarkable and I will never ceased to be amazed by the fact that there always seems to be another innovator out there who manages to succeed yet again in designing and creating a proverbial "better mouse trap", as it were...

Wasn’t expecting to watch all of this as I’m not a fashion person, but the designs in the film were just so good that this hooked me. Love all the BTS with random extras too, you rarely get that. Those artists all did amazing, especially with how much they had to do!

The Hunger Games franchise is one of the best costumed series of films to ever been released. It got the contrast of class right in a way that frightened me when I saw the first film.
