Thanks for this. 👍
Does your sewing machine takes plastic or metal bobbins
It came with plastic and those are the only type I've ever used for it.
Happy Birthday! I hit 56 in July. Welcome to the club.
Oh man, when the giveaway was announced, I thought the wait until the winner's announcement would be long. Now that it’s here, I can’t believe how fast time is going! Congrats to the winner, and happy birthday, Kevin!
Youd get hundreds of times more views if you actually labeled the video details in TITLE.. 🤔
Oy. (57:00~) 😳Should have bent the Rod 90 deg onto/over the vice, not between the Jaws. (maybe obvious 2+ yrs later). 🤔
Nice work! Take a drink anytime you hear.... 'umm'..🥴😵💫
Is there some Beef with Adam K that Im not aware of? (Seems nice enough, would love to know what Im missing). 🤔
Oh gosh, this was a long time ago. I think some algorithm must be serving my vids to new folk 😂 Years ago Adam starting pushing NFTs, and I am strongly opposed to them. Water under the bridge now, Adam has been facing some serious health issues and I do wish him the best, everyone who learns puppet building online owns him a huge debt of thanks.
Lefty!!! Heck yeah!! 😁
Cool. 👍
Nice! (Although, quite familiar looking). 😉 But still.🎉
The point of these live streams wasn’t to give a full start-to-finish build tutorial, it was to demonstrate that a quality puppet can be made with accessible materials. I just didn’t have the time to film every part of the process as these are just live stream archives. What specifically would you like to know? I can probably point you to another video of mine or other builders to help.
Your cat is so cute
Too much
What mechanical pencil do you use
@@puppetry210 Honestly no idea. Had it for years, don’t recall where I got it 😂
Kevin blade you are a master of puppets
What model of singer heavy duty machine do you use 4411 of 4423
According to my Amazon purchase history, it's a 4452 🙂

Yes, the Oracle has returned!
And one day he might actually get to answer a question!

As a new puppeteer who hasn't received my puppet yet, but is on the way being shipped, what would be somethings I can do to get ready for my puppet to be shipped to me? Also, how did you come up with a voice for my puppet once I receive him? Do you just have to try out many different kinds and see if any of them really stick to my puppet?
The best thing you can do to get ready for your puppet is practice! Puppeteering can be quite challenging but like most things, the more you do it, the easier it becomes. I have a couple of older videos that might help, if you haven’t seen them yet: ua-cam.com/play/PLDHrVsDtxCRqjh4mzOWiSQz9i6iXv4l_R.html&si=DpI3P-vIg0YOCpv1 Regarding the voice, it all comes down to character. Who do you want them to be? Don’t focus too much on finding a voice as much as finding the character (which can change over time). The voice will come naturally out of that.
Congratulations on reaching the 1000-subscribers milestone! 🎉🎇

Hey, you reached 1k subs!!!!!!
Yay! Special Fun Thing coming soon!
I just listened to your recent podcast in which you talked about why you had taken a break, and just wanted to say that I'm a big fan of the Oracle and I'm looking forward to any and all future episodes. 🙂
Aw thank you! Me too! The Oracle is what started it all and there will be plenty more if I have anything to say about it 😁
please do more of these videos i am learning so much
good to see you are at almost 1,000 subs.
It's a good puppet, but a there's a few things I'd do differently first. I would have made the shape of the head more of a melon shape, which you can a partten of like that online, then I would have made if a sack puppet but it's a good puppet.
Even me! Haha, great video. Looking forward to catching it live next time!
Since you discuss flocking in this video: I saw the original Bunsen Honeydew up close last summer, as well as the original Country Trio (the Jim, Frank, and Jerry puppets). It looked like about half of the flocking had fallen off over the years.

Hope you reach 1k subscribers soon! You're gettin' close.
So glad to see the streams are back! I rarely get to watch them live, but I ALWAYS watch the full videos afterwards here on UA-cam. I'm a professional puppet builder and puppeteer myself and even got to work with Pam Arciero for a few weeks a few years ago.
