Before that race in the Balestre and racers and Ayrton learned that the year before they were dishonest to him with a desclassification. He was mad at that. Piquet talked how it was not fair the year before.

Like James Hunt said: Prost hit HIM in 1990. Senna couldn't go right and Prost left him no space and collide into his bolide so look better people

You need to understand that Senna had to go. The guy knew too much. FIA was Bennetton's accomplice. The guy knew a lot and was willing to denounce everything, he was filling himself with information without saying anything. In addition, he was trying to reform the drivers' association for a safer F1, when the type of "safety" is determined by the FIA, not the drivers. They sacrificed Senna and Ratzemberger (and whoever they could that weekend) to justify implementing the safety changes ($$$$$$$) but under the terms and safety rules imposed by them, not the drivers. Senna had to go.

The safety car camera shot at 10:25 is awsome, it must be higher up and more stable because of the suspension and speed obviously.

I've watched F1 for 42 years now. During this time teams and drivers have risen and fallen from the top. Nigel Mansell was and still is my British hero, yet Ayrton Senna will always be the very best driver I have ever seen race, first hand at Silverstone and mostly on tv. He had a God given talent which was crystal clear on the track and an aura about him outside of racing which no other driver has presented before or since. We are all aware of his questionable driving in 89 and 90 yet there is no question, which ever era you follow now or previously, Ayrton was the ultimate F1 driver. When he was killed at Imola in 94, I felt bereavement the same as losing a family member. This is not pretentious, it was profound and sincere, similarly to millions the world over. We will never see his like again.

He floored everybody when he was asked who was the best driver he ever raced against , and he thought as he did then came up with the name of a Go Kart driver, very few people had ever heard of, Terry Fullerton. The guy was unique & an enigma in my mind.

Prost always thought everyone else was getting preferential treatment .. he stole Mansell's Ferrari from him because he thought that car was better and Mansell still beat him. He couldn't accept when someone was better on a given day.

I think senna knew he was more of a chance of killing him self then the others. Was he's character to give absolutely everything. And more often then not he was going Faster then anyone else. He knew he wasn't immortal. You only need to look at when someone was seriously hurt how it effected him and it did effect him big time. But like he said. I had to wipe all the negativity from my mind and go out and do it even better then before. I think we can all take inspiration from that. No matter how bad things get we must look forward sometimes it takes a storm to bring out a rainbow

Senna - talented driver but lacking any kind of decency. A lot of hinky-minky instead of just beeing fair. Driver skills 95 out if 100 but only 10 / 100 in decency/fairness/sportsmenship. So a very average driver, same like Schuhmacher, who also played dirty. These type of drivers made racing a political drama and helped to decline F1. There were drivers of similar skills, but with a real fairness the people still admire, like Jim Clark and Jacky Stewart. Skills 90/100 and fairness 95/100. That's how we should benchmark. And if somebody might think...No, I am not British.

Aryton has an aura being totally complete driver - Phd. guy. But I never saw Fangio, Jim Clark Or AJ Foyt. Schumacher has 8, Hamilton 6 and Senna 3, but Senna drove with passion and flair especially in the wet. He was the perfect F1 driver of his time mainly with McClaren 88-92. Really loved kids. He was intense like Steve Jobs. Very charismatic.

I'm...Prost was a crybaby. When he was with Renault..in the early 80's, the was teamed with ANOTHER French Driver at Renault. The French public liked the other driver better, so he grabbed his family and moved to Switzerland. That's the kind of person Prost was was. He could NOT take any sort of Competitive status or criticism.

Do others here think that the Benneton had drivers assists it shouldn't have had? Or does everyone just think that Aryton didn't have a clue that Schumacher was the driver he turned out to be, with 7 Championships?
