Suikoden 3 is not the best game of the franchise, but getting this ending after a lot of gameplay hours makes the game really, really worth it. For me, one of the best and saddest endings ever.

I remember this boss, I felt super strong before thew fight but then the boss killed everyone easily...except for Fubar. Something about the riding mechanics is unbelievably broken so a berserk Fubar dodged every boss attack ended up soloing the fight without my input. It was weird af but I was just glad cause despite a whole lot bunch o grinding throughout the game I got killed so easily if I had lost I would have had to grind for several hours more to realistically stand a chance. I loved this game overall but there is no excuse for the abysmal rune management that drove me mad frequently when I tried to build the characters. A lot of major characters are either unable to use runes they have slots for, even if having that slot is super rare or the other way around, are technically able to use a rune but lack the the only slot the rune can be used in. By the time someone finally created a cheat to equip any rune in any slot on any character I had totally lost interest in the game. Still, few games deserve a remake more than this. If it was a good remake I'd even be willing to pay full price.
