Marriage is literally a blood covenant. The hymen is there to ensure that blood is released, and that covenant knowledge of that man and woman is only meant to be known by that man and woman because they made a marriage covenant. The sexual union between man and woman is meant to be covenant knowledge only available through marriage between one man, and one woman, meaning its permanent between that one man and woman.

Christian marriage is not a contract, it's covenant. Therefore, other marriages can't be compared with Christian marriage.
