The town is Bisbee Arizona, southern most mile high town in the USA. I have no info on the brush fire, possibly prescribed burn.

it looks like a prospectors paradise, but, it's on AZ state trust land so off limits to prospecting or treasure hunting. Just being on the land is trespassing, unless you buy a permit, which I did of course and allows me legal access to hike and explore around, or use it to get to public land. It's tricky down here, you must always know exactly what land you're on.

I can post a pic here but I'm currently in the salt lake area and just over a week ago we had the worst air in the world. I live about 3 miles west of the Wasatch front which is a series of 10-13k ft tall mountains and we couldn't see the mountains from our house because the smoke was so thick.

I didn't think it snowed in Bisbee too far south. How many months? Jan Feb. Guess that's when I lock up and go to Cali. 🌞🌊
Elevation is what determines if a location gets snow or not. At over 5500 ft Bisbee is the southern most mile high city in the usa. It snows a few times a year between Dec- March. California gets a lot of snow as well especially locations above 2500 ft.
