P is for Pink Panther ~ Animation Remix
Pink Panther originally aired in the credits of the Pink Panther movie series and was spun-off into a cartoon series, airing in the 1960's. Pink Panther's movements were animated to the beat of the iconic Henry Mancini theme song and the other characters are animated on different beats adding to the mood and storytelling. Two animation remixes of Bully for Pink and Jet Pink.

Looney Tunes ~ Liminal Spaces ~ Background ART STUDY
Переглядів 38Місяць тому
The background art in the old Looney Tunes is absolutely phenomenal and if you don't know what I mean- WATCH!! Then go on an intense google search cause there's so much more... Background art is not just an important story device, it also informs movement and gives animation a foil to play off of. My Marvin will show up in several of these scenes and though his motion is simple and very much a ...
K is for Frida Kahlo

K is for Frida Kahlo and if you only know her for the iconic self-portraits, check out her more poignant work speaking to her life with chronic pain and surrealist commentary on social justice. There is a cameo from Marvin, my ghost friend, at the end, but otherwise, I did a pretty simple study for this one. I extended the bus scene and got to use some oil and guache brushes in clip studio pain...
Chuck Jones ~ Phantom Tollbooth ~ Animation Remix
Переглядів 692 місяці тому
Remix of the Phantom Tollbooth, a Chuck Jones production from 1970 with an original background animation study at the end. The Phantom Tollbooth featured a ton of backgrounds and layouts designed by Maurice Noble and some of the other Looney Tunes crew. It's based on a book of the same name in which the main character travels into a fanatsy world inhabited by the kindoms of words and numbers. J...

ua-cam.com/play/PLKiCayS5MWfYGsHGPYGi0qpZGmOzAxpTa.html Ub Iwerks was the head animator for a lot of the original Disney Studio cartoons, including Mickey Mouse himself. Skeleton Dance was the first Merrie Melody and was created to give animators room to play and grow outside of the Mickey character constraints. The original animation has been edited and set to new music, but the life of the or...

American modern artist (1910-2008) Collection of artist's work and an original digital art tutorial study piece at the end. I animated the final piece as a moving tunnel background. It's beginner animation, but I think it's got some interesting movement to it! Thanks for watching!! Music: Shape/L.M. Styles www.epidemicsound.com/track/RmWBFj2P1w/

Paint Jam ~ C is for Cairo (or close enough to Cairo) ~ Speedpaint
I was the Pink Panther for Halloween one year and got flack for it because ...pink. it was one of those old vinyl store bought costumes from the '80s with the thin, painful styrene masks and the plastic overalls with the name printed across the chest. I thought it was cool at the time. What were costume companies thinking?!?!
I had a Tweety Bird costume my mom made one year... must have taken her ages and it was very well made but the head was fully stuffed with eye holes that didn't line up right and an insane amount of scratchy polyfil right up against my face!! 😱
I'm keeping this on repeat while I build today. 😊
I used to love watching the no-dialogue Looney Toons growing up with my dad.
There's something magic about the no dialog stuff. Pure craft!! 💖
Love your vids. Hope all is well!!
Hey, thanks, Scott! I'm trying to forge spoons in the fires of hell right now, but I'll be back around again!! :)
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾🤠
Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! Bravo Hota Mae 👏
Thanks so much!! 😁
Great classic to study! I bet you learned a lot from these frames 😃 I’ve really enjoyed getting to know your style through this, really cool
Thanks so much!! Yes, this was a big learning project for sure! The original version is such pure creativity and pushed the envelope HARD in its time. Dissecting it showed me a lot of tricks!!!
Love this one 😊
Thank you!! So do I!!! 😆
Your little ghost blinking is so cute. Moving down the tree while the clouds remained gave a sense that we were following down the road. If you add something at the base of the tree that would be a nice next step. "I" was so fun. Looking forward to "J"
Thanks, Lee!! You picked up on exactly where the next one will be heading! J will be for Chuck Jones and I'm going to do another animation remix from his independent film Phantom Tollbooth. There will be more road travel ahead! 😄 Give me a year and I plan to have a full animation completed!!
@@HotaMae I'm your biggest fan! Mae, if you haven't found crafsman (no t) he loves movies & animation as much as we do. i love his journey on YT.
@Visible.Friend I don't know that channel, but I'll check it out! It's good to feed my brain and the algorithm new stuff! 😂❤
You killed this! 💪🏾 The animation is so good 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Thanks so much! This one is my favorite so far. I worked on several other animated bits that didn't get cleaned up to include. Felt my skills grow with this one 😊
Hota Mae, this was so cool. I love Hoff's jazzy artwork. Your animation is off to a great start. I like the idea of going down the tunnel of clouds.
Isn't her stuff fun??? The colors made me really happy. Thanks for floating in the clouds with me! 😁
i love his artwork. we got a stack of Ford Times magazines at an estate sale when i was a kid. i liked them so much i ended up with them on a shelf in my attic bedroom. your digital art at the end is so fun, like a collage of textures.
Isn't it great? His stuff is both whimsical and cool I think. It took me somewhere 😀
this was fun. i can imagine you are learning a lot with this exercise. my favorite part to watch is the time lapse.
I really am learning a lot. Glad you like it!
i've never seen this artist's work before. wow, i love the lady hillsides. it's so fun to watch the time lapse of your art. thanks for another cool video!
Thanks, Lee! Searching for artists with each letter is a really joyful part of the process. It leads me to see so much great artwork I never would have seen otherwise!
This was a nice collection of DeChirico's work. I am trying to look at surrealism with a fresh eye. I know a lot of people think it's dreamy, but I always felt it was too nightmarish for me. Thanks for another nice video...here comes "E" oh boy, wonder who it will be.
HotaMae, I love your art...& your videos are so much fun! I am your newest subscriber! hUgz from Ohio, Lee
Hey Lee!! Nice to see you! 👋

These are cool by the way! I watched the other one the other day as well 👍🏾👍🏾
Thanks so much! I'm hoping to get more animations in as I get in a groove :)
Oooh this is delightful!!! 💃
Thank you! ❤
