Dr Sarah - Bowen Family Systems Theory
Dr. Sarah, on faculty in a psychology department and in private practice, talks about Bowen Family Systems Theory and shares perspectives on the depth and universality of the theory. She addresses and rejects the critique of Bowen theory being too "male" focused with its emphasis on rationality over emotionality. She also rejects the claim that Bowen theory is not appropriate for people in collectivist cultures and shares that the theory is well received in South America and in Asia. As is the case with most Bowen adherents, she stays true to the theory while discussing a variety of clinical topics. Thanks Dr. Sarah!

So if this model is fairly new, then shouldn't the common factor should be studied some more? because like he said certain therapy that may help one person or couple, may not help another so what do you do for the one person or couple that it has not worked/ just curious.
