How much
I plan to purchase these for my church which sits up to 700 people. I was thinking 5 top with 4 subs, two per side. Would you say this is a sustainable buy to be used at least 3 times a week?
Jeff Jr. I’d say that is a good starting point. You will have to see how things act when factoring in the crowd, type of music, and venue. But we have used that same configuration for similar sized crowds with good success.
How many people can cover that system?
Sami Gabriel Coavas Blanquicett we do a couple thousand really easy with 6 tops per side and 6 subs.

The pre-rig truss in this video is from Applied Electronics. It is their Single Hung Drop Truss. Works great for par 56 lights or LED Pars. Par 64 would be a squeeze but they also make models that are a little bigger that have more room.
then how are you rigging it like chain hoist or truss stands
It all depends on the situation. Usually using slings off of some Eventer 20's but sometimes if we are off of a mobile stage we use chain hoists.

I find the subs to be hollow-sounding not really punchy. I have to do a bunch of eq'ing to get them sounding decent, what do you suggest??

I'd start with a local dealer. Often times DAS is coming around with their roadshow to local dealers and the DAS reps are there. Otherwise if there is no one near you and the roadshow isn't close call corporate. They will put you in touch with someone in the office that can answer questions for you. I have talked to a few of the people in the office through the last couple of years and they are all very knowledgeable on the products. Sidy Ndiaye it is a great system. We did 5 over 2/side for 2k people and it performed very well. We had it in a left right configuration due to staging constraints. Summing the low end in the middle would provide more concussive low end for sure but either way performs well.
Cool, we had good times with this rig. We currently have a very complete aero20/ ux218 system open box for sale.
