Family History: Digital Collection Discoveries
I attended the Apalache Mill School while attending 2nd grade back in ‘69-‘70. That was the year when schools were officially integrated.
Wow! This really makes wonder how I was ever even so successful at my family genealogy without even knowing anything at all about my identity and I am as a full blood American Indian. Because what really made my family genealogy to find my true identity and who I truly am was the fact that I through falsified family stories and misleading misinformation of family genealogy/family DNA through lies, deceptions, manipulations, distortions, twisting, perverting and tampering with the light of truth about everything of most of my whole entire life and the other funny thing is telling me me that I was a little bit Cherokee, but my whole entire family is full European and originally came from United Kingdom, France and Germany, even though don’t know how much, they told me that I had less Cherokee that 3 percent, while at the same time, every last Black persons and a just a few White people in Memphis, Tennessee and in Las Vegas, Nevada called me and referred to me as a fake pretendindian and kept repeating themselves over and over, asking me and telling me that I White boy, because look at my skin, my skin is as white as the belly of a frog and that they all bet that I am full blood European, which made me so much even more confused and frustrated than I already was, because I didn’t have any knowledge and any clue, never knew and didn’t even have any knowledge and any clue about my true identity and who I am and they also told me that even if I black skin, which I don’t, I would be Native American and could claim such and told me to shut my mouth, which is strange since I wasn’t claiming anything at all and then told me if you want to know who you really are, then do a DNA test, because otherwise leave it alone and forget everything about doing your family genealogy, because you know you who you are, but choose to be a foolish hypocrite. Telling me that I am nothing more than a liar, cheater, deceiver, identity thief and a fake pretendian and criminal fraud. I tried to tell them that I don’t know what they are talking about, that I am extremely confused and frustrated by what they are asking me and telling, because I didn’t even know who I am and I didn’t know my identity. The other thing that extremely confused me and extremely frustrated me the most is the fact that not only I kept having all kinds of vivid visions and vivid dreams about being a full blood American Indian l, but that I was in fact Cherokee, Comanche and Apache and the funny and strange thing is… I am 3/4 Cherokee, 1/4 Comanche and 1/4 Apache:
Back when you could get very good cheeseburger and milkshakes.
First heard his recording in 1957 and it bowled me over. Then, in the spring of 1965 luck would have it that I was invited to dinner at the local steakhouse by some friends and Josh was also there. Of course, we all wanted to hear him play, which he did late into the night.
This vaquero culture started in the Spanish Caribbean ended up in Mexico and Florida.
I'm looking for a John G Mcdaniel that was born in Alabama around 1818 or so. Had a brother named Thomas. They married sisters last name McCaig. I noticed some mcdaniels on the trail of tears list. I'm thinking John's mother was native? I can't find any records on him
Where did you find the trail of tears list

39:40 Interesting note is that stone central tower in Gassaway was built with stone from the old Vardry McBee Mill (pictured 2:31). It was in disuse and in ruins at the time (1924).
This was tremendously interesting! Thank you so much.

Thank you so much for posting this tutorial! I bought a kit that was too advanced, so I tried to join a beginners class at the library, but they were all full. This really helped me learn the basics and get over my trepidation of starting my first project. Excellent for people with 0% experience!
This is going to be so cute!

Bless you for this step back in time. I've been gone for over 50 years, but the memories run deep.
thoroughly enjoyed the Miss Julia Series!!!!
Thank you for the creative walk through Greenville in the 1950s. I was born here in the early 1960s but a lot of the facilities and locations were still in place. You helped remind me of my early childhood in Greenville. Well done! thank
Thank you so much!♥
Also, I love that you live in NC. I grew up visiting my grandmother and extended family and friends in Franklin, NC and surrounding areas. I miss those days very much. The sound of your voice is a comfort.
I just read my first Miss Julia book. Thank you for writing wholesome, entertaining books.
Thanks for sharing. Love Greenville culture and mill and textile history. Greenville has changed a lot and is no longer the Greenville I knew.
We use and love this local library all the time. (I'm going into the library later today to pick up an ILL.) But this video is WRONG! Obviously the person placing the items on the "white square" is doing so as a pedestrian when we are strictly warned to only use the return "robot" when seated in our car. This video is mis-leading: The placement of the return is awkward and hard to use when seated in a car . . . even for long-armed humans like me.
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. So that the viewer of this video is able to see all features of the equipment at this branch, the training video was recorded in a standing position. For safety, patrons are to remain in their vehicle when using the drive-up material return.
Where in the 5 forks?
Our branch is located at 104 Sunnydale Drive Simpsonville, SC 29681.

I love your work!!! My favorite book series 😍 ❤️
This is really cool. Thank you!
I really enjoyed this!!
enjoyed - looking forward to reading some of these!
Thank you for this! I do transcription of old documents for the Library of Congress and this will be very helpful for handwritten documents!
Thank you! As a former high school art teacher (back in Illinois), I found this very interesting, especially bc I do an old fashion calligraphy. Some of the letters I created myself…just like the handwriting you mentioned. If you have any documents with Spencerian script, I’d like to see a video on that. About 30 years ago my father-in-law taught me this style with an oblique pen. However, I found a regular pen staff worked best for me. I wish I had kept the practice bc beautiful scrolls and swirls are made into swans or other lovely drawings. Thanks again. Best wishes.
Bravo ... really great!
Great presentation!
Thanks for watching!

Yumm!!
I usually buy bell peppers, apples, carrots, avocados, and tomatoes. I usually have a list but I'll still occasionally look around. Yes, I love whole grains.
That's a great list to keep on hand! Keeping an eye on the freshest produce and what's in season in our region is always a good practice. So glad you're already paying attention to what's at the store and what ingredients are listed in the foods you purchase. Hope you'll check out our next video on Snacking coming up next week!
