Hi Stefani. My sister and I are doing an advent calendar journal swap, and we used the binders. So It took me some time to get my paper cut right and punched right. I wish I would have had this video earlier. LOL I am sure this will help someone in the future though. So clever using the envelope punch to make your tabs. Girl, I never would have thought of that! Thanks so much for sharing!

It's the brownies girlfriend. Lol I can't eat chocolate anytime after say 1:00 in the afternoon It will keep me up late.... That goes for coffee and iced tea also! What AWESOME recipe binders!!! Thanks for sharing such detailed instructions!!! I usually avoid "shiny" surfaces. BTW, I keep paper and pen near my bedside. If I'm restless and not sleeping, I will write down whatever is on my mind. It helps the majority of the time.

I enjoyed listening to you while I worked on my Fall journal. I hear you on worrying about the kids, even though we shouldn't but, you know, it's hard not to. We have 5 kids all married living their own lives but they are still our babies, right?😅 Sounds like we have a lot in common, I always say the same thing, I'm not gonna go anywhere today so I don't have to put makeup on 😂 I'm looking forward to seeing the progress of the cookbook, binders ❤

I was trying to figure out a storage solution for this before I ended up with a drawer/bin/box of every scrap from the many packs! Thank you very well! This is my first time to try using “chip board” to make a journal cover and I’ve watched these DIY videos in the past but -blah blah blah… yours is the one I’ve saved and thoroughly enjoyed! I love the creativity in this journal, Stephanie! I enjoyed the darker forest theme, where I may have tended to focus on the gingerbread and sweets. I have one these golden books in my stash, and now I know that I will bring the forest images forward. I love it!

Stephani it's been a few years since I did embossing and from what I remember, I made sure I had enough embossing ink on the item and actually dumped alot of powder on it then shook the excess off and hit it with the heat gun. Don't press it down. Just hit it with the heat gun. All of the powder that shakes off can be put back into your jar. Another thing you can try is dipping your item into the jar of powder and tap the excess off in the jar. Hope this helps.
