Our club is Moanalua, MO-ANAH-LOOAH, nice first attempt though! LOL! We're the oldest golf course in Hawai'i. Establised in 1898. We're a club but are also open for public play. 9 holes, playing to 3,062 yds. from the back tees. Weekday afternoons are generally very chill. Mornings, after work and weekends tend to see more play. As you said, very reasonable green and cart fees compared to most golf in Hawai'i. And, yes, the wind blows plenty hard off of the Pali most of the time. Thanks for the mention!

I can see by your swing you're in the bogey-double bogey every hole except for a handful of pars per round stage of your golf journey. The path you are pursuing is going to be frustrating most days because there's no way you can be consistent with that form. Your legs shouldn't look like you're dancing to beyonce's single ladies and that hitch you got on the top of your backswing with that over the top move is pull or cut almost every single time. Once in a while it'll go straight down the pipe because your "timing" just happened to be on that swing but good luck reproducing that consistently. The dead giveaway is you're off balance a lot. If you are going to pursue this current frustrating path then I would say shorten your backswing . You'll eliminate that hitch on the top of your swing and should be more consistent with your shots even if you're jamming to Beyonce. If I was your coach I would tell you to fire me immediately and learn it the right way from the beginning. There will be a lot less headaches to deal with later lol. Good luck! Do you have a budget? Because if I went to Japan for Miura clubs I’d go right to the source. I’d imagine they’d even have some preowned sets. But it’d be worth a call, at the very least.

This is great info, can I highlight you mention shoes but make sure people are aware that once you go over size 10 US it gets very limited and if size 12 US like I am impossible to find shoes in Japan. So for taller people with larger feet you will need to pack those golf shoes!

One of the problems was that they didn’t have some of the bigger shoe sizes (10+)
