When I saw my girlfriend in Raleigh NC. I did a connection between Raleigh NC and Charlotte NC because there is no direct flight to EWR airport. I flew on a red eye flight because it's cheaper

At one point( late 1990's early 2000's) this was the 2nd busiest mnorthern border crossing. Alot of travelers also use this entry/ exit point to visit the eastern US as it shaves hours off the travel time. For instance, maybe 8-9 hours to get to Vermont versus 12-13 going through the US around the Lakes. If there was a snafu at the bridge traffic would be backed up out onto the freeway(I-94) for miles.

Since I'm from the Philly area, I saw many landmarks west of Philly, in Philly and Jersey. The 787 is one fine plane.

I live between RDU and CLT. It's about a 2 hour drive. I'm still not sure why AAL is flying an A320 between the two. Used to work for Piedmont Airlines in the good ol' days.
