The sudden mono sections in the intro and outro are a side effect of the samples used in the original flash game. To save space, the creator used the exact same samples for both the "left" and "right" guitarists, so if both of them played the same sample at the same time it would cancel out the stereo effect and just play the sample in the center. If you exported the song with the POM-MP3 converter software, you could hear the song with the original double-tracked effect with both guitars playing the same line at the same time in both left and right channels.
