Superb video. My father and I are growing these. We planted them in July and they seemed to take quite a long time to come out from the soil but once they did and I watered them they started thriving. Only problem is some of them are being nibbled by some flies. I read somewhere a certain fly likes these. Is there any natural way or plant that will keep these specific flies away from them?
Happy to hear! You could try and make garlic spray to cover up the sent the beans give off. Or opt for a simple garden mesh protection. Also, if you add compost, don't add it right before planting out. And if you use fertilizers. Don't add to much in one go but spread it over the season. This should reduce bean flies damage.
I’ve been stockpiling me and my daughter’s prescription bottles for seedlings. Drill holes in bottom and perfecto!
how much did it all cost you? can you refer as per where you bought the wood? (also in NL here :) )
Can you clip the wings when they are pullets?
so Sticks like these are called willows!!! tesse will go
wow HALLELUYAH PRAISE THE LORD
Great job!!!
Is this safe to do to chicks? We have chicks and their starting to try to fly out of the coop and we don’t want that because we can’t have the chicks outside
I'm not 100% sure. But from what I remember you should not clip the wings in their first year.
Easy and to the point 😊 thank you!!
Happy to help!
what Willow variety this one
You didn't use "PRIMER" before painting. That paint WILL PEEL in a few days. .
We'll it's been three and a half years and the paint is still on there no issues. But I agree, primer would have been great to use ;)
Hi. Really useful video. We’ve 16 hens and two of the younger ones (approx 1 year old) keep flying over the fence to get to the compost heap in another area of the garden! Whilst I’d prefer not to clip their wings we have a big problem with buzzards here in France and I can’t have them being too far away from the cockerel or the protection of the hen house, especially as they don’t seem to be able to get back in! One question though. They have to fly up onto their perches at night which are about 2.5 ft off the base of the hen house. Will they still be able to do this? Many thanks for your response
How many chickens will this coop hold?
So Happy I Found This Video. I've Order Some New Scissors to make sure I give a even/safe cut.
You make it look so easy!
Mooi kippenhok! Ben me aan het orienteren voor een kippenhok ontwerp voor op ons land in Portugal. Thanks voor de inspiratie :)
Super leuk! Succes met het knutselen 😄
I don't like it whys did u throw seedlings tray with alredy grown plant s
Don't worry, no plants were hurt. We've planted everything after the recording ❤️
Very nice video man! I'm looking to build my own coop. How much space does a chicken need? I won't have any of those huge chickens hahaha
Thank you
Do you sell in India
where can I get these to buy
Hi! You can find them in our webshop. www.thefarmdream.com. that's if you are from the EU. If not let me know where you are from and I'll let you know where to go!
Great job! 👏 Thanks for the inspiration. I’m going to try making one of these 😬🤞
Nicely done. Nice and basic. Tells me to stop over thinking it and just build it giving them just what they need.
Nice video! I'm looking into this as well (this year i started with square foot or makkelijke moestuin) and wanted to expand. Where do you get the compost yourself ? And do you ever loosn the soil before planting, for example with carrots?
Just the help i needed thank you for showing mistakes also!
I was waiting him to throw the vegetables tray😅
Plantain for stinging nettle...chew it up a bit, place it onto affected area(s)
Talk talk & music. Just get on with it !
Don,t forget to what? The music started when you were still talking
I think he forgot lol
probably too late to answer this, but what happens if your pole beans keep growing higher than your trellis?
Sorry about the late response. I would say for the bush variety it's not to much of an issue. For climbing, see how high they support them selfs. Usually they can keep on growing above the trellis for a good 30/40cm before really folding upon their own weight.
I'm delighted you sell these. They are phenomenal. Strong enough to hold one-handed and survive the dishwasher before re-use. My old pressed cardboard trays (the ones that turn to porridge on contact with water) are relegated to chitting potatoes and the flimsy plastic ones are gone. The big 28 cells are large enough for potting on tomatoes. I need a pusher, though, as my fingers get stuck!😊
How many full size chickens can the coop hold.
PROTECT YOUR BEANS WITH CHICKEN WIRE OR ELSE RABBITS WILL EAT THE TOPS, THIS HAPPENED TO ME LAST YEAR
Sounds like Rabbit in Yellow Bean Stew is on the menu :D
hello from where did you buy 500 Tulip Bulbs?
Why they don't sell these at the gardening store I could never tell you.
Look great, but why paint it? I think it is better to put some oil on it. For example, old french fries oil.
You are correct. In hindsight that would have been way better.
Ze zijn geweldig, heb ze al jaren. Er blijft ook niet zoveel modder aanhangen.
What size is the chicken box itself? And how many chickens are you keeping in it?
Hi Julia, you can find the blueprint will all information on sizing in the description. We currently have 13 bantam chickens in the coop. The run is more important than the coop!
@@TheFarmDream , ok, thank you.
Nice
love this! I am going to claim a attick room in our house (the guestroom) and make a little plantnursery! You got me inspired! I see that this video is from a year ago... do you have any new insides after a year of attick growing?
Thank you Manon! Happy to hear 😁 not much has changed with our setup 🤔 still using it almost year round to start all our vegetables and flowers 😄 if you want some information about when to start use our free sowing Calendar. Https://thefarmdream.com/sowing-calendar/
like 1 very nice sharing very beautiful dear 👌👌❤❤
Is this too small for 7 chikens?
Ik wist niet eens dat je een gewone schoffel hoorde te slijpen.😂 gelukkig woon ik in een flat🤷♂️
Klinkt allemaal leuk en aardig. Maar koper is heeft een veel lagere hardheid dan staal. Dus "nooit hoeven slijpen" is complete onzin.
Awesome 👌👌from india👌❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍
May I ask; What did you mean towards end of video when said- "Plant 3 weeks apart"?
@@TheFarmDream On the seed packet I got it said latest to sow is August. Can they really not be sown later than that? I mean I understand as Autumn is coming in so less sun. Just want your take on it. ty in advance
Hi Raymond! I'm happy to see you again. Kindly extend my regards to Nicole. I'd been busy with my profession so I wasn't able to manage my channel for more than a year. But soon I will try to make and upload new video. Keep uploading more videos.
Good day to you too sir 😄 seems that we ran into the same issue. Running a UA-cam channel is more work than one likes to think. Hope all is well and hope you will pick up uploading again 🥳
Such a complete and comprehensive video. Thank you SO MUCH for adding the plans and the materials. I'm building the coop and I will be using these plans and following your video, since it has been the best one I've found so far, simple and clear, but also complete and elegant. Awesome work!
Thank you very much for the complement Robert! I'm happy to hear you'll be building your own coop! Good luck, and if you have any questions, just hit me up 😁
