The fruit is called prickly pear or cactus fruit in English. Grows best in desert or desert-adjacent conditions, and sandy soil, just like aloe vera.

Where can I get unsaponifiable lipids made from avocados, and how much (what %)of the avocado fat is unsaponifiable lipids? What % of olive oil is unsaponifiable lipids, do you know? It says online about olive oil - unsaponifiable content varies from 0.6% to 1.5%. How did you get unsaponifiable lipids from all those oils you are demonstrating?

they are generally less than one or two percent of the total oil. So a small amount. I don't have a source for them separate from the oil.

Hi Susan, could you recommend carrier oils that can strengthen individual hair strands? I'm interested in Cherry Seed Oil, just for the fact that it comes from my favorite fruit haha..

I have a huge tree in the backyard and every year we have so many extra fruits. I really wanna try this. Any reason I can’t eat it? In a salad dressing or something? :)

Thank you!! You helped me finally find a carrier oil with no scent. Way too many people suggesting fractionated coconut oil and jojoba oil claiming they have no scent (they do)

As a paint store owner I'm learning, all polymers are derived from oil/fat. Linseed oil, AKA cold pressed flax seed oil, is and has been, the polymer in oils based paint. Somehow it is also the main source of the dangerous and feared V.O.C's. Fortunately for our health our corporate government has mandated it's replacement in favor of crude oil fractions. In other words, - Natural = BAD! - Chemically constructed = GOOD! Incidentally more profitable. Interesting side note, most oils can be created rather identically, using crude oil fractions, as in the case of (propylene) glycol vs glycerol. Excusing my little rant, ...Great video! I cant wait to check out the channel Thanks

Pomegranate seed oil is thick and viscous at room temperature so yes it could thicken, gel if stored in the refrigerator.

Oils like these are a by-product of the food/agriculture industries where the discards that contain the seeds are collected, separated, and seeds pressed by resourceful people.

They’re tropical MsParker, I have one in my backyard and I live in Miami. I have family in the Caribbean islands who have them also. Our weather is hot just like the desert. My plant is exactly like the one in your video. My species doesn’t have fruit.
