Her speaking voice is "normal" sounding here compared 2 her 2023 audition for american idol. In that audition she said she'd been speaking like that her whole life... Now I'm not too sure she was truthful???

Her speaking voice here isn't nearly as high pitched as it is now. This leads me to believe that she's intentionally using the higher voice now. She obviously doesn't have to speak like she does now, but maybe it's a cool gimmick that's working to her favor. Regardless, she's amazing singer.

She is now on American Idol (2023) and it seems someone has advised this great singer to over-emphasize her speaking voice and she now sounds like a high pitched cartoon character. It's a shame she's had to do that to get attention and get noticed. She's a great vocalist.
