At the end Lorenz insist on the relevance on combining a pure formal approach with an historical analysis of a given logical diagram, to reach a wide and less biased understanding of that formal object. This way of seeing the scientific inquiry, remind me the Hans Reichenbach distinction between 'context of discovery' and 'context of justification' in philosophy of science. But, while in the case of Demey the context of justification (historical context, i.e.) is a key aspect of the whole approach, the Vienna Circle philosopher -and all his community-, dismissed it in favor of a purely formal perspective regarding the logical basis of scientific theories. In that sense, the current research lead by Demey is based on a quite rich transdisciplinary work and it certainly will bring plenty of interesting scientifc outcomes. Congrats!
