A woman’s worth is less than the man’s in Leviticus. The laws regarding rape and adultery. They are property crimes against the husband or father. Selling your daughter into slavery and men get released after seven years. Women not so. Lot being called a righteous man but then tried to solicit his virgin daughters to the rapists outside. Dinah and Tamar being raped and forgotten about in the text. Men being named on the ark but not their wives. The minor prophets using the imagery of a woman needing to be severely punished as the harlot Israel. The book of proverbs being written advice for a son which warns them of certain women but no message for daughters. Lineage being only named by men. In the NT, women have to be subjugated to their husbands and must be silent in church. They can’t teach or speak. They must have their head covered because man is the image and glory of God but women are only the glory of man. Women was taken out of man and was made for man. She is his crown or trophy.

@@AnitaAdefuye hello. It starts in Genesis 2 when woman was made after Adam didn’t find any of the animals sexy. Then Genesis 3 when Eve ate the fruit first and so women are solely responsible for sin entering the world. Her curses of baring children in sorrow and her desire to be for her husband and he will rule over her. Then we see evidence of this in the following chapters with Lamach threatening his wives. Polygamy. Lot who was called a righteous man but was willing to throw his virginal daughters out to be abused severely both sexually and physically. Dinah’s attack and Jacob not caring. Tamar’s attach and David being upset because it made him look bad. The laws on grape and adultery. They are considered destruction of property. Property being the women. 1 percent of the voices are from women in the Bible when 99 percent of the voices and narratives are male. 85 percent of named characters in the Bible are male when 15 percent are female. The laws on purification and cleanliness of women in the OT and how much longer they are ritually unclean when they give birth to a female versus a male. In Leviticus they are literally worth less and their vows to God could be nullified by their husbands or fathers. The Trinity is male. Jesus is male. Although Jesus was kind to women, he still chose only men to be His apostles. Women are commanded to submit to their husbands as to the Lord. They are to be silent and in full submission. 1 Corinthians 11 states that a man praying and prophesying must have his head uncovered because he was made in the image and glory of God whereas a mere woman must have her head covered because she is the glory of man. Women are seen as crowns to their husbands. They are objects to their husbands without say or voice. I could go on but I won’t. My woman’s Christian heart is truly broken. God loves men. He made women to be men’s toys.

Hi @pettycakes2344, thank you for sharing your story. And I am sorry you went through that. No child deaerves such 😔. I pray, healing and wholness for you. It is possible to geal from the trauma and all its memories and pain. It is not wrong at all to want to build a relationship with him. Keep an open mind, when unclear, seek clarification, and if you are a person of faith, pray for him and yourself. That said, please pay attention to him and his words and ensure they're authentic and not manipulative in any way. Also, pay attention to if he starts asking you to do things for him that's not in line with your values. But also pay attention to yourself, and anyway, you may get triggered by any or parts of your interactions with him. Overall, he's apologized, baby steps. I hope he gets to the part where he takes full responsibility and does not blame the crack. But happy to hear he even took that step. Finally, I sense you also need to forgive your mum. If you can, chat with her honestly about how you feel and let go of whatever you Harbor towards her. Finally, I don't know if you are a person of faith. I highly encourage you to pray for yourself, your mum, and your dad. I know it sounds hard, but you can. If you need to and can, seek professional support. Therapists arr equipped to help you navigate these things and sort your feelings as well. You will be whole sis and I can feel all the love and compassion in your heart.
