Penguin Release

Two rock hopper penguins are rehabilitated by WASR volunteers, then released into the Southern Ocean. One of them takes a little longer to feel the call of the open ocean! Support sea bird rescue and rehab here: wasr.org.au/ wasr.org.au
Jigging About Part 2 The Jiggening

We might be a new location with a new boat, but the spirit of jigging about remains. In our new jigging grounds, there are several small islands to visit within a kilometre or two. Sea lions, dolphins and penguins abound.

Scanning workflows with the Trimble X7 laser scanner
Переглядів 11 тис.4 роки тому
Scanning with the Trimble X7 is quick and efficient. Trimble's Perspective software runs on a rugged tablet, giving full control to the scanning professional to collect, annotate, register, adjust and export a complete dataset in realtime, in the field. No tedious office processing required. #allterranz #trimble #x7 #laserscanning #lidar
Trimble Sitevision data preparation in TBC

140km in a DIY plywood boat
Переглядів 2,5 тис.5 років тому
After building my very own puddle duck racer from plywood, I entered into the 2019 Waikato river Seagull Regatta. This annual event only requires that your motor is a Seagull outboard. In my case, I used an original 2.5hp model. A lot of fun was had, and the motor and boat was bullet proof with no breakdowns or leaks. Puddle Duck Racer plans here: pdracer.com/ More details and blog on construct...
Oarsome!

Boatracing in Luang Prabang, Lao PDR
I love that you put a seagull on it. Im making another PDR, (The original hull is long gone,# 589 is me), and I have a seagul 40+ I'm planning to put on it.
Thanks, the seagulls are awesome and i regret selling the boat and motor when i moved back to Oz! A lot of noise, not a lot of movement, but great nonetheless :-)
I love how uncouth and half-assed your boat is and it still works!
What do you mean? She is a graceful seabird!
Fantastic video. I moved Hobart to Subic Bay.
Great video. Very informative for 5 minutes!
Did you use bamboo for mast and boom (sprit)? Amazing! I loved It! I dream about building a PDR ou Oz Goose one day! And I love this "O'mutton Leg" Sail!
sublime.. nothing else
I don't wanna export whole project just only two scans want to export , can you explain how can we export only two scans please

Love it, could watch this all day
Hey, nice duck. Question, how did u make the sail? I know it is a tarp, but I notice it has an edge to it, and a diagonal piece of fabric or something ?
Hi Damian- loved your video. I am a Trimble Tekla Structures detailer, and have received point clouds for years and imported the e57s into my steel design software. Now I am interested in adding laser scanning to our offering for General contractors and fabricators. You scan said “stillwater house” is that stillwater Minnesota? I’d like to pick your brain about a few things with scanning if you are up for the conversation....
I love your PD Racer! I love your sail, the seat midship, and the use of bamboo! I'm definitely putting a seat like that in my boat I'm building... thanks for sharing!

I love the bamboo!!
Imagine seeing this after an emergency broadcast
Walk, don't run to your nearest shelter!
@@mrblenny What shelter? Nobody has shelters anymore, we're screwed.
I watched part 1 and came to watch part 2. You make enjoyable videos. I am very happy to subscribe and hope to see more small boat jigging about.😎👌
Hi Robb, I am glad you enjoyed the jigging about :-)
Was the boat a puddle duck racer?
Yep :-))
Waouh Super 👍 Thank you for thé vidéo
Brilliant!
Wow, 20 F-18s!
Nice video, very helpful. Thanks
What a beautiful feeling in this video. I love it!
Thank you, I am glad you liked it!
any how you build this boat ?
Yes
Pretty sure this this a Puddle Duck Racer. Plans are available for free online.
That is exactly what I want to do with my wife. I have so many questions. Where did you launch from? Where were the sand bars? is there any charts I can look at or buy? This is so cool.
Hi Philip, lots more details in the links above. A great time was had, although if it is only the two of you, you will need to take two cars and drop one off at your destination so you can get back. No charts available, and they are not needed. You can see shallow water and avoid it (most of the time)! This years event was cancelled, but they will run it next year if you want to wait for a group. Cheers!
do humanity a favor and stop making videos please!
But they make the world a better place!
Probs faster than the seagull!?! I like the juxtaposition of the bamboo mast, tarp sail, proper knots and zipties... All it needs is a pudding montage!!
Well done, the video too. We had a Seagull motor at our boatshed, Urunga on the Kalang River for many years. Dad (Charlie) prefered us to row, which we did a lot of.
What kind of bait do you use to catch river sausage?
Horrible stuff, It was the wurst bait.
Boof lost his shoes somewhere?
Don't use shoes on a boat!
First!
Couldn't ignore this video due to the Star Trek opening theme:)
Good ride.
Hahahah! Damos & Rach dancing!!
Fly it ya wuss!
Agreed.
how deadly
the really removed the music!!! Great video
Thanks for posting this video. It seems like the Paj was struggling a bit, just surprised to see why the traction control didn't kick in.
measure it first.
Yeah they are just the stock tiplets. They are OK but I reckon a bit small, especially in cross wind.
Were you using the tiplets that came with the kit? My tiplets on the Scout are close to what CK has done for the ZII. I have flown many of his wings well before he came out with the ZII. And his design for tiplets always did well. Can't wait to see more vids of your Scout!
thats a cobia.. not a shark.. lol
Ironic a harley owner is complaining about noise...
air hoons - give us your address and I'll ride my Harley past your house by the hour
These are the PITA that annoy people on the ground
can barely see them.
Yeah I made the ph mistake, had concrete blocks in there and ph was high. Doesn't kill the fish though (unless *very* high) but makes plant growth all but non-existent as they cannot uptake nutrients when ph is much above 7.
@arbitraryTag Usually just a mobile phone protected from the water and a close eye on the weather forecast but both times I have tried and got becalmed but sometimes the opposite happens and the bay can get pretty rough quickly. I know some other people who do it with an outboard attached so they can get home if the wind dies.
Sweet clip. So the conditions make a pretty big difference hey? Are there any special procedures/equipment you need for this trip, or is it essentially the same as 'beach hopping'?
Show offs. ;)
@Thor gamer aka shaun Wroldsen PhdIts been 9 years. Plus i think he's kidding.
That spot is at Rosins Lookout just near Beechmont in QLD. The weasel evo looks awesome - my weasel pros are still going strong so I couldn't justify ordering a replacement :-)
