Heinrich Reimann - Suite Op. 12, III. Menuetto
The Suite, op. 12 was dedicated to the Leipzig Thomaskantor Gustav Schreck, to whom Heinrich Reimann paid a great deal of attention as a composer. He begins the suite with a 5 voice Prelude, and concludes also a Fugue which (just like the Sonata Op. 10), begins first with a relatively strict execution. Afterwards, Reimann differs from the usual Fugue concept and writes a compacted voice texture with a short replica of the Prelude. Both of the middle movements look back in history by their titles; a Canzona first of all, in the same minor key and with a Scherzando - followed by a toccata insertion, and then a Menuetto in tripartite form with a subdominant key “Alternativo” Andante.

Nice legato in Fugue... Almost everyone plays it, like it was Bach - with strong articulation, and non-legato. I like your way of playing this - smooth and romantic. Good work!
