WHERE THE HELL IS THE FINAL PDF?
Should be somewhere! 😄
Hi, thank you for the useful video. I love it. If it is possible, can I get a copy of this file. Or if you could kindly show me how you set up gallery step by step?. Thank you.
Hi, here's the file github.com/AppsWyldeSolutions/utilities/blob/main/PoweApps/TimesheetsClearDemo_20210811232326.zip
Thank you for your file. I am new in power apps and power automation. I appreciate your help. Cheers. @@bobosbigblock8050
Hope it's useful!
where's the final output?
Just try the algorithm explained in the video and get the output that is relevant to your setup 😊
What on earth possessed you to create this video and not show the finished product (PDF document)?
Believe me, it's there 😀
Mmm looks good
Tastes good too 😋
Hi, thank you for the making this video but for some reason the patch function isn’t working in save and add line icons. Also my galary isn’t appearing on preview. Would appreciate your support in resolving these issues. Thanks
Hi Bilal, thanks for reaching out! it's hard to say what the issues are without knowing the details - e.g. error messages that you are getting.
@@bobosbigblock8050 Thanks for your response, is there an email id where i can share the details along with screenshots? Thanks again for the help.

Hello. Is there anyway of getting a copy of this file ?
Hey - yes, there is

Is there an example for converting a HTML file to a pdf file. Not using compose or variables but an entire file?
Where would the HTML file come from? I suppose first step is to get the file content from where it is located and then use this content for conversion. What's your scenario?
@@bobosbigblock8050 I use software at work that generates a summary report in HTML format, i print it to pdf. I am just trying to see if I can automate one of the steps in the flow so all I have to do is save it, allow the process to convert it before AI extracts the data.
@@KrazyMO Ok I see. Probably you could place that HTML file into SharePoint library where Power Automate can read it from. Then you would use something like Get File Content action in Power Automate to read the HTML file from the SharePoint location and convert it to PDF using the method in the video.
That's pretty straightforward
I have and HTML that is formatted with bullets and bold texts (<ul>, <li>, <b>), but when I convert into PDF all the list and bold formatting is lose. The preview connection used ("Convert File") does not expect that formatting? Thanks!
I think it should work - every time I format HTML output it works in PDF. However, I think there might be limitations.
I tried following what you did in the video including the last stage you mentioned of using a second 'Create File' action to output the results of the conversion, but all the PDFs are blank. The flow thinks it has completed successfully, but the files are empty. Any ideas?
Hard to tell without seeing your flow. Try and check that you supply the contents of the file from the previous activity?
Good work. Was waiting for the output though
Thanks! What output you were waiting for?
Running the code
Hi, thanks for a great video. How did you put time functions in the text boxes with start time and end time so the format is ex 01:00 to 13:00?
Glad you liked the video! There's no special functions to format the textboxes for time values and also in the SharePoint list where the data is stored Start Time and Finish Time fields are Single line of text. You can also type it like "1pm" or "12:30pm" it will work also. Does that answer your question?
Thanks for the video! It's very useful. I'm wondering though - what would be your approach to automate this integration when there's a bulk upload of orders in Shopify? Some shop owners do that.
Glad you enjoyed the video! In the bulk upload of orders scenario you would need to implement a scheduled flow that just crawls though the most recent orders in Shopify and then creates those in Salesforce
Awesome video! I was losing my mind trying to find a free workaround to generate a pdf from Power Automate, keep up the good work!
I am very glad that it's helpful!
Hi, i learned from your video. Now I have a request from you, can you make a video that relates tender responses?
Hi, that's great to know that the video is useful! Let me think about the tender responses case and I will see if I can come up with the another video for it.
can you please provide the JSON file?
which JSON file you are after?

Hi I love your video, thank you so much. I wonder is it possible to have validation function ? For example, If user try to data for 23/08/2021 08:00-20:00 in 2 rows, the second row should be error.
Hello, thanks for kind words - glad you loved the video! Yes, it's possible to do validation. I think the solution would be to get the value from the previous row in collection using some form of identification and then check the date value.
Do tasks created in milestones show up in Tasks? If not then it means, we have to choose one over the other.
Milestones data is stored in Microsoft Dataverse database - maybe we can create tasks from there to Planner or To Do using Power Automate flow. Then it would show up in Tasks. I understand that it would require some work, but a possible workaround
Nice example, thanks
Glad you liked it!
Thank you for this tutorial. I liked that you left in the part where you test it and thought there was a bug when you didn't save your time yet and made a copy. 14:30 I think it would be helpful if you added a possible fix to make the user interface more clear for the end user. For example that the timesheet row changes color when you save it so it's more clear to the user, or show how to make a pop up if you try to copy a time before you save it or something in that direction.
I'm glad you liked the video and thanks for the feedback! Indeed, the part you mentioned, with the user interface when creating/saving the records - can be improved. I wanted to show the technique of functional implementation, however UI is also a big part of the solution. Will pay more attention to it in the future videos!
That's a good one for those who are starting to use SharePoint - very useful. Looking forward to upcoming episodes!
This is very interesting. Can you publish a step by step guide?
Yes, that's possible - stay tuned!
@@bobosbigblock8050 This would be great not only to attract attention to your channel but also what you're able to create as a developer.
@@M365_Minion thanks for suggestion - there's no development in that scenario, however I am going to publish a step by step guide for it soon.
Interesting development adding in 'Milestones' to Teams. It looks like MS is trying to embed more and more functionality from MS Project into Planner and Teams. I think helps makes Planner and Teams more useful without taking away from the need to have MS Project in large development or production projects/programs. I do think adding milestones is not that big of a deal; miestones are just due dates on a larger scale, IMO.
In my opinion the Milestones application in Teams is one of the steps towards giving the sense of control to project managers. Also it just adds another tab to the digital workplace launchpad where all your resources are available in one location.
Productivity boosted for sure! 😁
Indeed! 😎
This is very interesting. I suppose this type of integration allows to display data from anywhere which is related to Dynamics 365 records. Quite powerful.
Indeed - data, related to the D365 records can virtually be anywhere and can be then presented in Power BI inside the D365 page
So how do you enter data into Dataverse?
Here's a follow-up video about data entry into Microsoft Dataverse ua-cam.com/video/jyYnbpAedn4/v-deo.html
@@bobosbigblock8050 that’s a good one too!
It looks quite useful - good video! I think Tasks and Milestones functionality can be enhanced further too like any other software tool.
Glad you liked the video! I agree the integration potential is endless here - however, even from the get go these tools are very helpful and will definitely improve productivity when working in Office 365 environment
Follow-up video - setting permissions for projects and tasks ua-cam.com/video/UEu4QgRy8rg/v-deo.html
Thanks for this video - you definitely did best you could here. I've tried this in the past but couldn't use it - if there was a way to handle comments and attachments it would maybe work - but those two limitations (and the weak workarounds I've seen) just make this a dead end for me. How in God's name there isn't a slick robust task mgmt solution in Office still is just mind boggling (and Planner/Project do not qualify - Planner is too lightweight/not-dependable and Project is too heavy/clunky).
I agree with you - there is a couple of limitations that require some attention. And I also have the same frustration about e.g. Planner being lightweight at the moment and being something we are given as a strategic solution for all task management. Re comments and attachments I think the solution would be either a custom form in Power Apps or SPFx component. I have done both and my preference is SPFx.
Thanks for this video....let me know the website for free sharepoint that you used here
Glad you liked it! Here you go re SharePoint environment I used developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/dev-program

Thank you! Very nicely explained. Could you please make some videos on user access control over task management? Like I am a task list admin. And I can create and track tasks/issues for all but other members should only view their workflow
Thanks - that's a good idea, stay tuned! :)
