@@jomdiy 1mm soft have you tried Gelid extreme? What temperatures do you have on 0.5mm?

@@MrX-yg7rz temp during max load 53 ~ degree with 65% fan speed, can reduce to lower temp by increase fan speed to max. i tried 1mm other brand, after few days I notice temp still high, change to 0.5mm now doing fine.

have you try to control the original fan using radeon software, my previous rx580 have similar symptom as yours,what i do is I manually set fan profile using radeon software.

@@jomdiy yes for some reason even with the fan settings to a more active mode the fans would not spin. But as soon as I hooked them up to main power they spun up just fine. I doubt yours will do the same but just in case it's an option especially if you find your computer locking up at weird times. I started noticing the temp staying way past 60 degrees cel. Once I fixed it the temps stayed around 29 degrees and on a full load around 40 to 45 degrees. Which isn't the greatest but I'll take it.

There's no 0.75mm on the market.. just use 0.5mm and u will be fine.. dont use 1.0mm bcause its too thick..

do you mean thermal pad? i'm using 0.5 mm size. i tried 1 mm but the results is i get higher temp during full load. 0.5 mm perform better.

the thermal pads should be 0.75mm but its hard to find, you can use 1mm that can be squish but some thermal pads cant be squish enough causing high temp, you can use 0.5mm but the result wont be that good as an oem spec.
