I’m sorry to say but you bought the wrong car. 1982 is when they undated the suspension and steering so this has an e9 suspension and aren’t very good. Still a beautiful car but it’s now you know.

You need to fit a cooling fan from the Mercedes M111 it's a lot quieter and makes a nicer sound when engaged. It fits the standard BMW fan clutch without mods or need to take of the clutch.

Love the e60 m5, what car enthusiast doesn’t, it’s a awesome combination of comfort and 90’s excess with gen f1 know how included but bro, aint no way that’s 1000bhp without forced induction, my younger brothers e60 was easily as quick. Do all the preventative maintenance and build the engine to handle a blower and manual swap it, my cupra 290 dsg7 would stay with that rite up too 150. Build it bro you allready have the base car.
